  • I don't think so.. I tried to download it and it wanted email and said that I have no access.

  • @espoir72

Download WHAT? From WHERE ? Do I have to guess what you're trying to do ???

All programs are free, no accounts needed!

  • @queensoft I'm sorry I didn't note the link but it was one that you indicated. I went to "donload" and it asked me to log in. Anyway, thank you for your answer and please could you tell me a simple way to download for free?

  • @espoir72

    Download WHAT ????

Even if you don't know the link you clicked (BTW, you click all links you see? You know, some viruses spread like that), you must know WHAT you want to download, right?!

Anyway, in the video there's one link: my blog. There's no download there. There's no form asking for your email.

If you want to download the softwares used in the vidoe, just do a google search !!

  • can i do this too with dutch words

or do i need more professional paid software?

  • @Rsz30 You can do it with whatever language you want. Just giev it a try and see how it goes.

  • where can i find virtualdub/plugins????

  • @smurvertje VirtualDub is the folder where you have installed/unzipped the program. Plugins is a sub-folder in that folder.

  • 1:18

subtitler is not in the list at my pc!!!

    help!!!!!

  • @smurvertje JUst do a Google search for: virtualdub subtitler

Download filter and unzip in VirtualDub/plugins folder.

  • how do i watch subtitles with iphone?

  • @puccalover13 If iPhone doesn't read ST subtityles, do like tutorial says.

If iPhone doesn't read AVI, you have to convert the processed video tp MP4 format.

There are tons of programs, one best freeware is Formnat Factory.

Or just use AVIDemux, add subtitles, encode to MP4.

  • @puccalover13 you have to download an Iphone application

  • @theodorekaradimas007

    okay thanks :D

do u know wats the app called?

    or any recommendations?

  • and btw use vlc media player

  • Thank you man .. good video i rated 5 starts

  • romaniiiiiiiiiiii

  • Ehh am vzut prea multe commuri in engleza :D:))

  • Hey are you an romainian?

  • Pai si nu puteai sa intrebi in romana???

  • Is Divx files safe for computers??

  • Well, it dependes. If you have pron divx files.... they're not sa safe for you.

But yeah, for computer, they're pretty safe.

Yes, some viruses disguise themselves as Divx movie, so you must keep an eye out for those.

  • it's about as save as downloading MP3. :P

If you know where it comes from it's ok, but if you download something like OMGTHISISNOTAVIRUS.div i wouldn't do it lol :p

  • Right, and because I use my phone to talk to other people, I must be stoopid, right?! Hmm, I think that'e the greatest thing about a phone: you can talk to people with it. But hey, we can't all have iphones. Thank God for that, it wold have been such a shi*ty thing, they all die after 1-2 hours of talk !!!

  • Oooohhh, and you think all the rest of the world (read 'outside US of focking A) has focking youtube on their focking phone ?! Think again stoopid.

  • Wow, dude, you're so brilliant!

Do you have captions on your *cough* sh*t phone? Or on you *cough* sh*t MP4 player?

  • man i cant find subtitler filter ?

  • Where the heck did you look for it???

    Try google: virtualdub subtitle filter

  • dude how i can find all this codecs in compression?

  • You don't just find them there. You have to install them. Search google for any codec you need, download, install, start VirtualDub. Most of the times, codec will be on the list.

  • i have a prob. my subs aren't goed synced with the immage. i can fix this problem but when i burn i just goes back to the bad syncing

  • How can you fix it, but then it goes back? You fix it from your player? Of crouse it goes back, because it doesn't actually change the subtitle file. Use Subtitle Workshop.

  • nah i found a better way to do it

just download the english subtitles for the movie and open them together or burn them to the same disc

  • lazy pants..:P

  • im talking about the input and output on the srt to ssa program the only files it will allow me to open are .ssa files where are these loacated

  • Input is the original SRT subtitle.

Output SSA if the output file, you just enter a name and a folder to create a new file.

Or just serach google for another SRT to SSA converter, wtf

  • where do you find the "input" and "output" files when im trying to change the subtitles on an .avi

  • Input is your original video.

Output is the video+subtitles produced by the program, after you watch the tutorial.

  • how to overlay existing subtitle with new ??

  • Sorry, I don;t have the programs right now

But, here's what you do: go to Wikipedia and search for SubStation Alpha.

Then find the first piece of cide, where it says [V4 Styles].

There's an option called BackColour (7th option on the Format line).

Go to the next line - Style

Change the 7th value (on Wikipedia value is -2147483640). Change it to 0 or one of the other colors (previous values, you'll figure it out.

  • Forgot to mention: you can find all those options and values inside the subtitle file, SSA format. Just open the SSA subtitle with notepad.

  • I'm getting an error, "Input file error: subtitle # 1"

There seems to be no problems with any lines.

    What should I do?

  • When exactly do you get that error?

Try and convert the subtitle in SSA format using another program, just google some.

  • I get the error when I press "convert". First it gives that error and then it says "Job finished!"

It creates an .ssa file but the subtitle won't appear on the video although I have converted it with Virtualdub + subtitler add-on

I tried another program a few days ago (don't remember the name) but it didn't work either (although it gave no error). I have created the .srt file with SubRip and there should be no problem with it. :S

  • You probably get error, like in video, at 00:47.

    Corect error, look at 1:00.

Pot the video to some site like sendspace . com or mediafire . com or rapidshare . com and post the link here (put spaces...)

Probably the SSA file is empty, try another ocnversion program

  • The .srt was in Unicode. I changed it to Ansi and now it works perfectly.

    Thanks for your help.

  • ahhh no i want to know how to make the writing from 0:00 to 0:13 someone plz help!

  • You mean the titles?!

Dude, you can do something like that with any video editing program. I think I have used Ulead VideoStudio (now it's Corel VideoStudio) or Pinnacle Video Studio.

You can use those or Sony Vegas, Adobe After Effectes, Adobe Premiere, Womble MPEG DVD Wizard or just about any of the hundreds of video editing programs. Even Windows Movie Maker can do some simple titles.

  • hey i want to add subtitles to my video but i just dont know how , could anyone tell me how to do it?? by using what software?? please

  • Dude, watch the video, wtf ????

  • haha lol

  • OK, if you say so.....

  • You know what? Ill just stick with the annotations xD

  • Do you have annotations on your mobile/iphone/psp/whatever ??? Don't think so, only on youtube.

  • Your video just won't load >:(

  • You mean this youtube video???

It's their problem, it's glitchy for me too.

Just wait a few hours and try again.

Or let it load and skip forware a few second, it does the trick for me.

  • I know, and that's not cool

  • 10x :D

  • HEY WHAT version is your Virtual dub?? my version in 1.7.1 but it have'nt "subtitle" option :|

  • Read all the comments. Doesn't matter the version. VirtualDub standard does not include subtitle filter. You have to add it yourself. Search Google for: virtualdub subtitle filter, download, unzip it to the plugins folder

  • Yes, SRT to SSA is a different program. It just converts subtitle, from SRT format to SSA format. Just search for one of those, there are tons.

  • I didn't undesrtand the SRT SSA part...is it a different programme?

  • hm does it do effects to the subs?like

    they flash and stuff?

  • The the wikipedia page for SSA (SubStation Alpha) subtitles. They have some effects.

  • Thanks, really helpful!!!

  • does anyone know how can i burn movies with subtitle?what program to use?plz help thanks:)

  • You can use pretty much any cd/dv burning software. Once you have the file(s), you can use any burning program.

  • no man i have nero but it doesnt let you add subtitle and burn it. i need a program to add movie and then add subtitle seperately and burn it. do you know any? thanks for the respond anyways:)

  • What's the problem? You have Nero, you have movie file, you have subtitle file??? Why can't you burn the 2 files ??

  • man you serious? i don't get what you are talking about? you cant burn movies with subtitle in nero. there's no place to add subtitle to a movie and burn it.(i dont want to a dd permanant subtitle)

  • Dude, YOU don't know what YOU're talking about. You want to make DVD Video with subtitles, from AVI/Divx files, right? Use DVD Flick (tutotial coming soon).

  • ok man now you got me i needed a program like this one to do the work easily :)thanks man NOT:)LOL

  • you can use windows movie maker it comes with vista or you can google it it's free

  • Use it for what ?? Does it read subtitles ?

  • burning movies with subtitles you should get a option to export as dvd i think

  • But I don't want DVD format. I'll try it in a few minutes and let you know.

  • I'm not sure sorry

if you have a yahoo account you can try posting that question in your yahoo answers I'm sure someone will have a solution for you

  • Windows Movie Maker for Vista does not read subtitles at all.

Windows Movie Maker for Vista cannot save DVD format. You must use Windows DVD Maker.

Windows DVD Maker does not read subtitles at all.

  • I do the same thing like on your video, but my sub don't appear! i dont know what to do! can u help me? When i put preview i can't see them, why is that?

  • Just make sure you have followd instructions exactly. You probably missed to convert the sub to SSA format

  • in virtualdub i have not subttitler

  • Like I said, it's a filter, so just Google it.

  • I don't know why I can't post addresses in the comments....

  • u can post em in ur subscription

  • Lots of programs needed...................

  • For this particular job, you only need VirtualDub and subtitle conversion software (srt/sub to ssa or Subtitle Workshop).

The video codec is almost always already installed.

So, that's two programs, that's much?!

  • what about video codec

  • What about it?! Like I said, Divx or Xvid. Also, like I said, usually they're already installed.

  • why when i go to VirtualDub website it doesnt give me a a download button

  • Well, of course it doesn't.

WHICH WirtualDub site and how come you don't see 'Download' on the left hand side menu ????

  • well i had to go on u tube to find out how to download vobsub thankfully it worked know all i need is something raw to practice subbing on if u can help with that would be great maybe a link to something raw

  • thanks u

  • when i press the srt file it just says the the file are unkown or unsoported file type...plz help

  • WHEN do you press the SRT file and WHY ???

You can open it with notepad, if you really want.

At NO point you neet to "launch" (double click) the SRT file.

  • When I have a movie and a srt file, I don't use ANY form for program. I just burn them straight onto a DVD (no folders needed either) and put in my DVD player. I can have them on or off. The text always look the same (no matter how it is in its original form), it's white with dark grey almost see through background, and the size is good (usually a bit smaller than the original). Works fine for me :-)

    Just a tip :-)

  • Yes, most DVD players read Divx files with SRT. But some don't, or the subtitle is really small, or it doesn't show special characters. Also, you can use hardsubbed files for mobile phones and stuff like that.

  • u pc is very lower .........
