You had, from the sounds of it, an amazing doctor or midwife or whatever he was. No rushing to do anything fast, he waited for the cord to stop pulsing before cutting, he was supportive, he didn't do an unnecessary episiotomy, etc. Sounds like a great doctor. How lucky!
The episiotomy (the cutting) can be necessary if the vaginal opening is not wide enough (even when fully dilated) for the mother to deliver the baby. It's easier to perform a small cut than to sew up jagged, unwanted tears. The stitches usually dissolve a few days later, that I know of. (I've never had a kid, I've researched this stuff, though.)
aww, the little brother was soo adorable, this makes me feel a little at easy about going natural with no meds when it is time for me to deliver in about 2 1/2 months
the whole comedy thing was just like when my mom had me...dad and the other guys in thew family were not only crackin jokes but were eatin french fries too
that was wonderful thanks for sharing your painful but beautiful exprience. my friend she is having her baby in two weeks she was so scared but by watching this video she knows more about natural birth and how incredible is to have your baby in your arms after so much pain! thank you.

No. None of my other births were filmed. This was to be my last baby and I didn't know my husband had filmed until after I had delivered. I'm very glad he did though!

@TheDooface12
I had requested that the dr wait until the cord stopped pulsing before cutting it. That's why it took so long.

"Zoey, do you wanna cut the cord?"
"No!" she says.
Haha, that was great.
Beautiful birth. Seemed painful for the most part, but you were strong and it was great.
