WTF she's wearing lots of ring, means she's doin nothin, hey black asshole get another job or maybe u end up in this job cos black people are the laziest one, hahaha
That is a shame it upsets me to no end when residents are treated like that her teeth should have been cleaned at least twice daily. Thats a disgrace that cna's treat there patients in such manner. There is no excuse for this at all.
yeah and u get one prick, that punches u because he does not understand the care process,,refuses to extract dentures and play with his penis so when u get scatched u get an infection.i liv them all, but if u did not understand and someone wanted to brush your teeth,, like u wont take a moment to bite down and see wat is up
I know it's really gross when a patient vomits but even though you feel like vomiting yourself, you have to clean the dentures properly. Also the CNA should've had her gloves on the entire time to protect herself.
I wouldn't consider this neglect-just poor training or lack of following procedure. She did not sound abusive to the patient when the patient was vomiting, and I thought I heard her say "don't worry about it.." The patient was vomiting-thus causing the dentures to look nasty.
No, actually, I decided to take on a career that actually made a difference and ensured the PROPER care of patients in healthcare settings... I will be graduating with a degree is Healthcare Policy and Management- so ACTUALLY I' WILL be a nurse's boss or any other health care provider's in my facility... And if they fail to do their jobs properly and compassionately they will be TERMINATED- so that "I didnt cut it" statement is BULL, u don't know me BUT in a few years I'm sure every1 will... :-)
You seem very anxious to get in there and show them who is boss. I have seen your kind come and go. After being being bounced out of a few jobs, you'll be down off your high horse quickly. If you are suggesting you will become "the boss" as a facility's administrator, lol, please. They dodge bullets and sit on their rumps as abuse goes on WITH their knowledge. But eventually, they get their due. Your types are a dime a dozen. We'llsee you being escorted from the building on YOUTUBE.
so, since u know me so well, since when does being confident and caring about the essence of healthcare a sign of being anxious and being on a "high horse"... I lobe it when people who don't know me try to discourage me because that makes expediates my blessings... Being PASSIONATE about your chosen FIELD and PROFESSION is totally different from being arrogant... and please note that every1 isn't in it to make a dollar sweety... so PLEASE i beg of u don't generalize because AGAIN u don't know ME
if you can't handle it don't post sick video's like this...you should of got someone else to tape. who wants to hear you puking and gagging. this isn't jack ass you know.
Sadly, this happens all the time. Brush the fake chiclets, people and do not drop them. She has cushioned them so if dropped in sink, no breakage (I would have used a wash cloth) Bless this person!
doesn;t take long for dentures to get nasty. sounds like a family who likes to blame and gripe and expend all their energy doing that instead of taking mom home and taking care of her themselves. it's so easy to point and find fault when your ass isn't the one in the trenches.
@bigfig1900 Do you know nursing homes are getting $3,000 to $7,000 a MONTH to TAKE CARE of the people. Family members should not have to clean the dentures it is part of daily cares that should be given. Staff in nursing homes went into that profession. No one made them work there. It was a choice. If you can't do the cares Wal Mart and McDonalds are always hiring.
Amazingly enough this happns everyday in nursing homes, whether it be by neglect, lack of staffing or believe it or not, the res. refusing for some one to assist with the care. Yes, I too am a health care worker for 20 yrs, this is unfortunate and sad so the best advise I can give is for everyone who sees these types of videos, to keep in mind that not every health care worker is the same, some of us do care, some too much but we are few. Please join us in this fight, write your congressman!
this is a waste of time im a health care worker an i have never seen dentures like that and they wouldnt get like that if you brushed them with a tooth brush an toothpaste or soak them everyday!!your so overreacting what the point in having that job if your gonna react like that!!!!!!!!
How hard it to clean dentures. I didn't recieve training in being a nurses aide. Common sense would tell you to scrub the dentures, clean the residents mouth to let him/her feel refreshed and then let the dentures have a good soak overnight.
I do agree though that the staff in nursing homes are treated horribly and very short staffed. Also the administrators are not the nicest people to have to work for.
Dentures can get nasty pretty quick. Before putting a mom or dad in a nursing home I think people should be educated on the (unfortunate)reality of being in a nursing home. The workers are overworked and underpaid, to put it mildly.
I'm sorry... but who allowed these dentures to get into this condition-- the wearer or the nurses? Was the wearer dependent on the nurses to clean them for her? I'm not really sure the point of this. Please explain.
oh, i thought u were kidding, but yes, i dont know why she did not clean them with toothpaste. Maybe she couldnt thinks straight because of the odor, lol
Yes, dentures need cleaned. I do not see any neglect, there are many reasons why, such as an emergency or potential danger to a resident, that would take priority over denture cleaning. I am sure the dentures survived their experiance, better them then a resident being left a mess. Look at what is really important, and if the facility is that bad, take your loved one home!
ok, so im guessing it is a very uncaring nursing home that doesnt really pay attention to how long she has had those dentures, so her daughter cleans them for her,but the conditions are so barbarious that she reacts in a very disturbing way because they smell really bad, and all the yellow stuff in the sink when she washes them is plaque
to tell you the truth, i dont think that i would have acted the same way, and she was doing her a favor by cleaning them for her, so i think that she had every reason to react the way she did, no disrespect to you, i dont wanna start any thing you know i just have alot of feelings, lol

You are a freakin DUMB ASS! Don't you know the proper way to clean a pair of dentures?
#1. rinse teeth
#2. Put teeth into a vomit tray NOT the sink, that sink is full of germs, remember the dentures go into the mouth!
#3. get a tooth brush
#4. get some tooth paste
Need I go any further? Idiot!

that yellow just might indicate infection, so please evaluate his gums and mouth- poor baby- this why i high tailed my ass out of nursing school!

You high-tailed it out because you couldn't cut it. And the yellow is most likely is food or vomit residue.

Pop the dentures in Steradent for a few hours and then come back and clean them. Although it would be preferrable to remove the food first.
