  • I don't think that second chord is an A. If it was it would be like an A with a 6th and a 4th in the bass. I think its actually a D with it 3rd in the Bass...if you can even call that "in the bass" ;p

  • @JRHockney honestly i've got no idea. you're probably right, hah.

  • hey bro, nice voice and playing. thanks for the lesson. Your links are not working unfortunately. :( Be blessed!

  • @Wutang21 thanks for the heads up. i'll fix those links.

  • Hey great tutorial! Very thorough and well done! It definitely helped me get a clearer idea of some of those really intricate parts though.

One thing though, the "sus" in any chord name if short for "suspended" not "sustained". "Suspended" refers to when you remove the 3rd of a chord, and usually substitute with a perfect 4th or 2nd, sometimes 9ths too I believe! "Sustained" is a term you use when you are describing the length of a note.

  • @jl3297 you're right! i always mean suspended but always say sustained, haha.

  • guitar is out of tune....bummer. thanks for the vid

  • Nice work. Thanks for your efforts. It would be a good idea to make sure your guitar is in standard A440 tuning in case people try to play along with you.

  • you're welcome

  • wow thanks for making this video this helped me a lot!

  • no problem.

  • awesome! i figured the tab out a while ago by staring at one of DC's live videos, but you made the instructions much easier (and clarified some of the chords).

i play a "cheater" way though...

  • play the real way. it's fun.

  • You are the first one I have seen that plays the guitar parts right. Did you pick it up from watching the new song cafe or is your ear that good.

    Nice job.

  • picked it up most of it from new song and used some ear for other parts

  • Great job..loved the video and clear instruction and your great playing. Our band is doing this song in church this sunday. No problem with the easy parts, but do you have an emergency simpler version of the tricky parts I can pick up by saturday morning practice? Schedule is crazy and I can't devote the time on short notice. Don't worry about it if you don't have the time either. Thanks again and God bless!

  • hey, bummer i didn't get this in time. there is an easier version: take out the hammer-ons after the B7sus and just play the 3 remaining chords. i'll try to get a simplified tab up before this saturday.

  • saw david crowder play & explain this on newsongcafe awhile back, but it's great that you took the time to actually tab it out for everyone to follow and practice at home. good job!

    in His Grace

  • i did too. thanks, man.

  • added your video response

  • thanks!

  • Thanks for taking the time to make a tab for this. This will help me a lot.

  • no problem bro. lemme know if i can help.
