i have ecxama. i am a bad speller. i can not eat chocalate. if i eat it i break out in rashes. but i have hand cream that i put on if i am itchy. i had all my life. it when a way when i was pg with my 2 kid and it came back when i was pg with my twins.. i broke out everywhere. it is hard to stay away from it or even look at it when it is everywhere
I tried all creams from doctor, even worse, because the cream will make the dead skin accumulate eve more and cause more itchiness and pain. I only can use non-oil cream now.
Simple correction, harlequin ichthyosis is not a form of icthyosis vulgaris. Vulgaris means common in Latin, icthyosis vulgaris is common icthuyosis. Harlequin ichthyosis is much more rare and devastating a disease with only a handful of patients around the globe.
I have severe atopic dermatitis. I'm allergic to everything. The weather changes bother me. I have scars and am in pain all the time. I'm always ashamed of how I look and that I am always itching and what not. I can't even imagine what people with this disease have to go through.
how horrible it is to watch this.. still thanks for uploading this! with all the idiots posting alien child videos of poor kids who suffer from this.. all those idiots should be ashamed! what is happening to the world today...
there seems to be a huge lack of education.. you are doing your part to educate some fools.. i hope it reaches them
Ok so I was born with Ichthyosis, but its not as bad as these kids... :( I have the bad head dryness. Also in areas like my arm pits and groin. But i do not wanna know what these kids go thro, Im always in pain and its only it those areas, I wonder what it would feel like to have a full body one! I feel bad for them, cause I too also know how it feels!
This was well done and informative. I was just wondering, and I don't know if you researched it or not while doing your project, but I was just curious as to whether you looked into if maybe adding these teas to the bath or even (if they could afford it) bathing ENTIRELY in the teas, would have a beneficial effect. The afflicted person would still be getting the benefit of soaking up moisture, while at the same time being surrounded by other healthy and very beneficial properties.
I suffered all my life until a dermatologist told me an easy treatement. You must apply daily a body cream sold over the counter under the name LacHydrin. It is essentially 12% ammonium lactate and will cause your skin to fall off naturally instead of accumulating, drying and cracking. I promise it work and you will find your baby soft skin underneath. Apply it after your shower. It will burn at first as the acids enter your lesions but it will pass as your skin heals. Enjoy...my life changed!

To inherit Harlequin's Icthyosis, both parents have to carry the gene.
