Very moving and tragic documentary suffered greatly from lack of narration, lack of translating what people were saying in other languages, the dvd I rented had no subtitles, and it didn't make the connection between guns and the Nile perch, as mentioned. Everyone raping the land/lake while the people of the country starve, disgraceful. The people should eat the fish and drive away the Russians and everyone else who come to steal their resources.

I thought this was one of the most amazing documentaries that I have ever seen. However, it failed to really make the connection that it was guns one way and fish the other. Most of the aircraft were arriving empty and it was only one crew who admitted that they had flown guns to Africa and that was many years previously during the Angolan civil war. Still worth watching though.

@BaronBoy100 that was to overthrow the Portuguese colonial empire and proceed with the European dream. Angola was a very rich territory with prosperous structures. After the revolution, came the civil war, all for the purpose of erasing any possibility of Angola rise as a prosperous country, sack their resources, degrade its people, for the interests of the Soviet Union, USA, and of course EU and international corporations. The same happened in Mozambique, and in general throughtout most Africa.
