I appreciate the spacey mood sentiment but where do we draw the line between that and just skill-less drivel? I'm listening for the intended subtle nuances of an artist but they do not distinguish themselves from the unconscious drone, as i said, a line needs to be drawn

I think anything artistic is better than the vacuum of nothingness. There is good art and bad art. However, I think that distinction is largely personal. A friend posted a clip of Derek Bailey playing guitar. I think of Bailey as you think of Conrad. I don't get it! We also go through phases where we change our interests. Things I once thought were great now seem cheesy. Things that seemed repulsive I now find attractive.
