@flashbuiIding understand the power of AS and that it is the future of webdesign however i am having a hard time getting the hang of the whole frame and action frame concept. I really appreciate these tutorial sessions but i am stuck on this tutorial (part 5) due to my lack of knowledge in AS. Is there a possibility you could post any alternate header/login session methods?

Hey, I've got a problem. When I sign in, it says processing and then refreshes the page, but it still shows the not signed in stuff. It does not change to the sign in stuff where it gives you the logout button and such. Please help.

just finished lesson 6, i have my header up but when i goto the page it just stays on the first frame.

i get no errors at all but it says transfering data from on the status at the bottom of the page for awhile.

I'm pretty sure my script is connecting to 'checkuserlog.php'. However, it doesn't appear to be accessing the 'login.php' at all. I'm not getting the md5 hash pass in my pass input field and not getting any messages in my status_txt when I depress my button. I get no errors from AS--syntax or otherwise. Please help.

hmmm I go to login and test, and it says no match found in our records please try again.

Not sure why, because the email/pass is correct, and the user verified the account (made sure on mysql).

Any ideas?

Hi please help me.i am trying to get a button to link to another part of my website but within the same window.Everytime i click on the button it opens a new window with the address never the same window.I have the exact same code in as the logo button you have in this vid and still does not work.

Run a quick php test script on your web server... your host might not have PHP enabled on your live web server.

@IownAmooseFarm make sure that in your header_template file it says the url for the header.swf file rather than the simple header.swf extension. i had that problem and just realized that and it works now.

Thanks... no sweat... I learned PHP and javascript first... so I guess when I went to learn actionscript 3.0 it was easy for me... they are very similar.

The flash CS3 help file is where I find all the code to do what I want. Programming is kinda universal once you work with a few dynamic languages a bit.
