Just beautiful. There is much that is fresh and honest about this clip. From the groove, to the playing (and reaching brilliantly for that new thing), to the vocal outro which seemed so warm ...and true! So unpretentious and earthy. Gotta love a gig at a library. Libraries seem like the last bastion of free speech and free thinking at times. It was the librarians of America who fought the suppression of Michale Moore's first book, and many others. This gig seemed to fit right in that philosophy.
dean brown's guitar playing is a lesson in the art of containment, luckily his body language doesn't take control of his playing or we would see bloody mayhem, dean your great !
I saw Dean Brown with Billy Cobham in 86 at the Chestnut Caberet in Philly. Awesome.
