Well fact you have no respect for anyone is self evident- its here for all to see. Thing is, I live outside the US and have travelled fairly extensively in europe and also to SE Asia, I do have some conception of the rest of the worlds opinion, I watch news and read various papers for information about current events. Will you read your post then consider the meaning of the word 'spite'.. btw I live with my girlfriend shes a perfect size 8, has a masters degree and everything is juuust fine!

I think what tvsbbs meant is that just as George W. Bush seemed to get elected based on nothing but a cult of personality (ESPECIALLY in the '04 election), many in the Obama camp seem to be focused more on the man's charisma and winning personality than on his experience or qualifiedness. It IS unsettling.
For the record, I'm not thrilled with Clinton OR Obama for different reasons, and McCain is OUT OF THE QUESTION.
So I'm in the camp that's the most miserable of all. :{
