ah bernard butler, when everyone else was playing cheap les paul knock off's and shoe-gazing you were playing a gibson 355 and throwing yourself around with every strum! we needed you and suede to liven things up!
@josssmith Absolutely.. I look back at the last decade and I feel very sad at the music that was aroundthat time, how awful it was...the 90s had much better music and style
For the last 18 years I've been trying to hit that damn note! Seems the older I get the farther away I am. LETS CHASE THE DRA.... Ach! Dammit! Guess I'll Leave to Mister Anderson.
so this in chicago in the heat of their thinger.. it was crazy... when is the next suede? no one's really come along like this in a while.. everyone's waitin on the brits to do what they do .. c'mon man!
i'm still hoping for a rebanding... i got the opportunity to listen to many suede songs back in the coming up era but i didn't know the band... but some time ago i got to listen Trash (in the "British Rock anthems" top list of VH1) and it felt like i knew that song pretty well...
i love suede but i dont want them to reform, suede was easy the best britpop band during the 90 but it wouldn't be god.
i mean both brett simon and matt is over 40 now, their song has lost its meaning now,and yeah i also hate that i was 0ne year old when this was filmed:(
i don't believe in another Dog Man Star, of course, but they could do some more stuff with Suede. People are missing all these guys from the 90's too much...
well what do you mean whit suede. this line up of suede was amazing but bernard left in 94 and neil joined on keyboard in 95. it would be weird, is bernard going to rejoin the band on guitar or richard? you get what im talking about
no, what i meant was they could have gone on. Maybe Brett was losing his animal side like he said once, but after listening to The Tears' album, there were no doubts about his quality as a musician. Bernard or Richard, Neil or Alex, i don't mind. they all have done great in Suede, so i think they should reform, yeah. And too many people are missing 90's bands, those good ol' bands, and if Suede come back, it will make tons of people very happy.
... And i wouldn't mind too if they do another rocker album like "Suede", or a dark epic one like "Dog Man Star", or a poppy record like "Coming Up", or another light "acoustic" album like "A New Morning", as long as they bring back some good music...
@sonicadv27 well i have to admit that i am realy happy that suede has reunited finaly! and they say its just for a few gigs but i hope theres more to come! and i would love another epic record like Dog Man Star
hey, u r a bit better than me. im from china, i grew up with barely any tv(well the tv barely has any proper music anyway) as i went to a boarding prep school, a competitive junior high school and then i went to england, again a boarding public school where all the peers love to listen to things like jay-z.
@DJMeowMixer I wasborn in1970 and saw Suede at Hull University in April 94 - Was totally blown away even tho i already had the album. Live with Butler, these lot were something else. The only downfall - i'm now 40!
@helmutbananakegs You're lucky. You'll live your life having seen more great things and less of the global decay my generation is going to bring about.
i fucking hate fanboy comments at every fucking live video of every fucking band

Bands of the 90s were great...Suede, Manic Street Preachers, Radiohead etc Bands of today are not as exciting as them sadly

We need music like this. Forget Lady GaGa, this is REAL music!
Brett has the best voice!

So good.
I really hate that I was two at the time.
and I live in the US.
So instead I get to grow up with Fall Out Boy and Panic(!) at the Disco on TV.
boy.
I am intensely jealous of all ye who were old enough to see suede live.
maybe they'll reform some time.
maybe.
