  • Mj... So fkn amazing.

  • RIP MJ, you were awesome and left us far too early, hope you're at peace now.

  • wow he was hot...cant believe he thought he was ugly, look at those girls there like drewling all over him''i would

  • My opinion is that Mike jackson deserves that place in the dance hall of fame alongside the nicholas brothers, fred astaire, bob fosse,Alvin Ailey, Nijinska,etc... you betta work Michael! lol, one of the greatest dancers in recorded history in this video.

  • I still think Mike is a great dancer...the problem is that he isn't as trained which mean he isn't as good as the trained dancers. He's just not as crisp. Still great to watch though and very creative. Watching him next to the Nicholas brothers would be like watching Ginger Rogers next to Rita Hayworth.

  • @Skibone21 "Trained" dancers have all talked about how amazed they were of Michaels natural dancing talent. Michael Peters and Debbie Allen even talked about how MJ was a better dancer than people who paid thousand of dollars to learn. So your opinion on that is worth NOTHING.

  • @dirratt Debbie Allen and Michael Peters arent Fred Astaire or Gene Kelly now are they? You can be impressed with natural talent and still note that it's not the best in the world. This video shows how smooth the Nicholas brothers were in comparison. That's all I'm saying. Watching tons of old musicals you can tell the difference in the fluidity. Mike's wasn't on their level and they were twice his age. That's saying something.

  • @Skibone21 LOL.....Gene Kelly , Sammy Davis Jr. Fred Astaire and his choeographer have said the same thing about MJ being one of the greatest dancers of all time. The above mentioned were also mentors to Michael. Sammy Davis JR has known MJ since he was 10 years old.I can't say Michael was the best but he was definetly one of the best EVER.Look up videos of them talking about Michael.MJ did things they could not even do as far as dancing.

  • @dirratt It's not all about what you do it's how you do it when you do it. And in this video you can tell a distinct different in the fluidity of the Nicholas in comparison. Obviously you're taking my statements as knocks on Mike's ability. As I said he's a great dancer, but he's not nearly on the level of the ones I've mentioned. I can guarantee you if asked and answered honestly Mike could've given you a list of trained dancers that were better than him.

  • @Skibone21 You do know that Michael was 18 yrs old in this video right and that tip tapping is not his style.. MJ would dance in a room of mirrors every sunday to sharpen his craft.Let me see fred astaire glide across the stage like Michael.

  • @dirratt The Nicholas Brothers were younger than that when they started lol come on now. I have seen Astaire glide across a stage on many occasions. It's actually what he did.

  • @Skibone21 It seems to me that you have a bias against MJ. The Nicholas Brothers have a different style of dance than MJ so you can't compare the two. MJ was doing james Brown type dance styles since he was 5 yrs old.MJ's dancing was rooted in the African American tradition in which we taught our own selfs how to dance and were innovators. Ever watched Soul Train?

  • @dirratt There's no bias against Mike...he's my favorite entertainer. That's exactly why I'm speaking about him the way I do. I've said more than once that he's great just not as great as the ones I've mentioned and others. As for African-Amercian tradition...you do realize African-Amercian tradition is only American tradition right? If you want to call African-American tradition 200 years after the fact that James Brown was an innovator you're mistaken.

  • @dirratt There are two different styles and obviously the Nichalas brothers type of dancing was more technical. They relied on exquisite footwork and timing. You can't possibly compare James Brown to them it wouldn't be fair to James. Just as its not fair to MJ to compare him to Gene Kelly. He just couldn't be that great. Since the Nicholas Brothers came before James were they not the innovators? lol

  • @Skibone21 There were others who came before the Nicholas Brothers....LOL back to you. : )

  • what was this video from?

  • I think he looked at Fred Astaire again...

  • IN RESPONCE TO HIS SUPPOSED " BAD POSTURE" MIKE HAD MORE UNTRAINED TALENT IN ONE FINGER THEN ANYONE PERFORMING TODAY. HIS DANCING WILL GO ON UN MATCHED TILL THE END OF TIME. LOVE U MIKE. I KNOW U ARE UP IN THE CLOUDS MOONWALKING WITH THE ANGELS. AND IM SURE HES NOT SLOUCHING.

  • No comment...he is sublim !!

  • Wow, Michael Jackson used to be handsome! Damn shame.

His foot work is pretty solid, but I feel he's an overrated dancer. He "get's there" but is sloppy. Like at 3:54. What I do appreciate is that he sought to preserve a level of quality in performances which is pretty much lost these days.

  • @LifeOutsideTheBubble U say he's overrated and sloppy, but for him to be a teenager and he's dancing like that, that's incredible most teenagers dream of being able to dance like that.U should go watch his music videos as an adult his dance moves are much smoother, but alot of greats that came before MJ and that have influenced him would disagree with your comment because they have said how talented and how great of a dancer MJ is.

  • @gagamichaeljackson Maybe he's an okay dancer for a singer, but he's not a very good dancer for a dancer. He's a cultural phenomenon. For great dancing, I refer you to his teachers, the Nicholas Brothers.

I have no problem with people who like Michael Jackson, and I have no problem with Michael Jackson. I just think calling him a great dancer diminishes the value of the title. He never had good posture. It's not as aesthetically pleasing to me to see him slouch.

  • @LifeOutsideTheBubble I hear what u r saying, but when u think about it MJ had no training what so ever,so that's why it's amazing to see him dance and that's why people call him a great dancer because it's all natural with feeling.I mean like I said before look at his music videos and like Michael Peters said MJ is a dancer in his soul.

  • @LifeOutsideTheBubble Your comments are biased,4 you to say mj posture wasn't good.you are seroiusly out of line,mj can spin circles aorund your ass,mj never missed a beat at dancin,he is the greatest,mj can robot, tap, and keep his balance.Mj is a good dancer.he learned by watching. mj better than nicholas brothers.therefore mj is a great dancer

  • he also had no formal dance training. That is all natural raw talent. Amazing!!! imho

  • @mjoy145 He was trained by the Nicholas Brothers. The Nicholas Brother have been called by Mikhail Baryshnikov "The world's most perfect dancers."

  • What a joy to watch! I'm smiling all throughout while watching this. What can't this man do???

  • Too bad YouTube doesn't offer a "Sensational" button--it was nothing short of sensational! Where on earth did you find this? In the midst of this agonizing trial, seeing Michael so vibrant, joyful and in love with the dance is just such an uplifting thing. When God handed out talent, he gave it all to Michael! No one else can dance and move like he can. Even at such a young age, he just glittered with sex appeal. I will miss him til the day I see him again in Heaven.

  • Yo I thought I've seen everything mike did .. this got me feeling like there's a whole lot I've never knew about him now .. I had know idea he did tap
