  • Hey man how have you been. I boycotted YT and have not been there in almost 2 years. I didn't hit the trail once this year. Kinda sad...if you look at my page you'll see why. I have too many hobbies. Drop me a line sometime.

  • Makes my Sammy 6.5 look tame. But I wheel @ SMORR where a 244.1 would be useless. Nice work

  • pretty yota looks clean. i building an 83

  • Sick truck.

  • nice rig...me likey. what size tire are you running? and this is random, but what did you use for mudflaps on this setup? I plan to do similar work to my rig, and can tell you like your paint job as much as i do...

  • @dixiemudtoy I built those mudflap brackets out of square tube. welded a piece to the bumper and then inserted the bracket into it with a bail pin. I sold that bumper a while back and I need to upload a newer video of my rig. I had 37x12.5x15 MTR's on the rig at the time on 15x10" rock crawlers. I am now running 37x12.5x16.5 Goodyear MT Military OZ Humvee radials on recentered Humvee 8 bolt beadlock wheels with the PVC center (double beadlock). Good luck with your build!

  • do you know what the stock toyota crawl ratioi is? i have a 85 with the 22r an the g54 5spd an i wan to know what my crawl ratio would be stock before 5.29's an a twin stick

  • @mudpupp7 Stock toyota transfer case low range is 2.28:1. Not certain what the G series trans 1st gear is rated at, but the W56 1st gear Is at 3.96:1. Ring and pinions can range from 3.90-4.88, so find out what yours is. My truck would be 3.96 x 2.28 x 4.56 = 41.2 : 1 crawl ratio, 1st gear, low range.

  • so im just getting started to crawling...im actually looking for a nice toyota pickup or 4runner late 80's early 90's...but since im new to this...can someone please explain how the gear ratios work...a basic breakdown would be great....from transfer case to rear end including the tranny....also the difference between a single and dual transfer case and why solid axle is better????? like i said im new to this so the questions might be stupid to some...

  • my 4runner has a 350 to one crawl ratio and thats ridiculis

  • Where did you get the front bumper?

  • how is 452 a slow ratio? i run an asphalt latemodle with the same final drive. just wondering. check my vid MMS cage cam

  • i have 5.29 gears in the axle, 3.66 tranny gear, 4.7 reduction box and 4.97 twin stick for the rear case. so its: 5.29x3.66x4.7x4.97

  • 452:1 doesnt sound low to you, but its actually really low and slow. Here's the formula: 5.29x3.66x4.7x4.97= 452:1. Its crawl ratio not axle ratio.

  • Well I have the R151F tranny with the 4.31 first gear, 2.28 in the crawl box, 4.7 gearset in the rear, and 5.29's in the differentials. (4.31x2.28x4.7x5.29=244:1) You must have an incredibly slow crawl at 452:1!

  • How do you get 244:1 by the way? i have a truck that does 452:1 on my t100.

  • Awesome truck there!! Id love to see vids of it in action on the trail.

  • Thanks! Haven't had much success with recruiting a camera person so far, but I am working on it.
