@djresonance Taking ukemi from someone like Tittarelli when he's demonstrating can be like taking ukemi from a fast moving train -- the ukemi often looks exaggerated because you learn, from experience, that if you don't take good ukemi, you can be run down by the train and that can bring a lot more pain...
I know it can look a bit over the top, but speaking from some experience with Titarrelli Sensei when he visited Iwama, that's the only analogy I can think of. :)
