i fixed the problem now. my BFG GTX 260 216 was running faster than my xfx GTX 280 XXX

You can use the 9800GT for physx if you like. Not in SLI.

consider that the GTX 280 is just 10% faster then the core 216 SC edition then compare the price difference it's a big deal. A great savings for people who don't want to pay the added cost of the GTX 280 but still want to be in that performance bracket.
