wow the graphics are rectum to say the least lol looks like call to power 2 from 1999 but i will get it anyway because i love these strategygames x3 and i never had a ww1 game like this before. this scenario is mostly untouched so far. loads of ww2 games but barely ww1 games

@happosai27 people who care about graphics are fucking idiots. The whole point of a video game is to entertain which only the gameplay does. A lot of the old games are the best games and have much better gameplay than new ones with better graphics. I would play splinter cell 1 over conviction any day. I would play rome total war over napoleon anyday I would play ravenshield and rogue spear over vegas 2 anyday etc. Just because a game's graphics aren't next gen doesn't mean the game will be bad.

Problem is, these look extremely dated, as if they were made with software from the 1990s. I would sooner play R:TW (specifically Europa Barbarorum) over N:TW sure, but new games really should not be released with graphics that look like this.

@Subotan It may look dated but the Strategic Command series has always been about gameplay not graphics. Using graphics as a justification to trash a game is like saying chess is a terrible game because the pieces are so old fashioned. chess is still an excellent game even if it looks old and dated.

As said before, this is about strategy, not graphics. If I was a youngster I would probably want a real time multi fangled super graphical shoot out, but they do not do it for the real war strategist.

I spent a lot of money buying a game that the US Navy used to use to train its naval carrier officers; the graphics are ancient, but the strategy is amazing, and that made a great game for me.

If you're already into that kind of thing, i can see why they don't bother you, but as someone who hasn't played these games before, it doesn't look like I could get used to it. @Spyker2041 yup i got 2 examples of super addictive, fairly new games that have crap graphics! mount and blade (i personally think the graphics are good) and minecraft :D
