Hi Mr. Michigan man, I'm reading some of your more "optimistic" messages here and have found them very, well, optimistic. Threet was a few yds. short of 2000 and I think he had 16 INTs not TDs. Anyway, looking at this clip, the '97 game was a bit different as it had Michigan playing a John Cooper team that had talent, but no mental discipline. Tressel has solved those problems. Looking forward to THE GAME 2009 already.
Threet didn't attempt enough passes for him to reach the 2000 yard mark. He averaged about 10.5 yards per completion and threw for like 1100 yards on the season. That's not good, but it's not bad either. Threet also had a 51% completion percentage and threw 9 TD's to 7 picks, which are decent stats for a frosh. Threet's transfer will hurt Michigan, especially if Forcier gets injured. I wish Threet the best.

I likie both Forcier and Robinson, but their lack of experience is obviously an issue. I think Forcier will be an All Big Ten QB one day, but not as a true freshman in 2009. Cheers for the information. I was unaware of Robinson. Two true freshman at QB is tough. As you know, Pryor at OSU started most of the season (frosh) and it was VERY nerve-wracking to watch him. At times you were amazed at how he could run away from trouble, and the win @ Wisconsin was thrilling. But he wasn't able to throw very effectively & at times relied too much on his feet. All OSU faithfull are hoping his arm has improved. Then he's the total package. Any Big Ten predictions? UM 6-6?
When RR wants to run the zone read or triple option (his bread and butter plays) he can bring in Feagin as a substitute. If Feagin ends up being the starter, he could be the next Pat White. Either way, as a substitute or a starter, Feagin should be an asset.
Justin Feagin has a chance to be the starter, but he will most likely be a Tim Tebow/Ryan perriloux like substitute. In a sentence, Feagin is the poor mans Terrell Pryor. He will only be a true freshmen, and he is only a 3 star prospect. However, he IS an electrifying athlete, and he has a pretty good arm.

Look, i don't think Threet is gonig to step in and be an all Big ten QB. thats unrealistic. But with all the weapons around him (especially at running back) i see Threet haveing a decent season. i see him throwing for 2000 yards, 16 TD-8 int, and having a 60% completion percentage. most importantly, i don't think Threet is a guy who will throw the game away like Chad Henne and John Navarre sometimes did

Hi Mr. Michigan man, I'm reading some of your more "optimistic" messages here and have found them very, well, optimistic. Threet was a few yds. short of 2000 and I think he had 16 INTs not TDs. Anyway, looking at this clip, the '97 game was a bit different as it had Michigan playing a John Cooper team that had talent, but no mental discipline. Tressel has solved those problems. Looking forward to THE GAME 2009 already.

Threet didn't attempt enough passes for him to reach the 2000 yard mark. He averaged about 10.5 yards per completion and threw for like 1100 yards on the season. That's not good, but it's not bad either. Threet also had a 51% completion percentage and threw 9 TD's to 7 picks, which are decent stats for a frosh. Threet's transfer will hurt Michigan, especially if Forcier gets injured. I wish Threet the best.
And I'm looking forward to the game in 2009 as well

just for the record, it will be incomnig true freshman Denard Robinson 9a mid level 4 star with 4.38 speed) who will abckup Forcier. I likie both Forcier and Robinson, but their lack of experience is obviously an issue. I think Forcier will be an All Big Ten QB one day, but not as a true freshman in 2009. I hope it all works out for Michigan.

Cheers for the information. I was unaware of Robinson. Two true freshman at QB is tough. As you know, Pryor at OSU started most of the season (frosh) and it was VERY nerve-wracking to watch him. At times you were amazed at how he could run away from trouble, and the win @ Wisconsin was thrilling. But he wasn't able to throw very effectively & at times relied too much on his feet. All OSU faithfull are hoping his arm has improved. Then he's the total package. Any Big Ten predictions? UM 6-6?

When RR wants to run the zone read or triple option (his bread and butter plays) he can bring in Feagin as a substitute. If Feagin ends up being the starter, he could be the next Pat White. Either way, as a substitute or a starter, Feagin should be an asset.

Justin Feagin has a chance to be the starter, but he will most likely be a Tim Tebow/Ryan perriloux like substitute. In a sentence, Feagin is the poor mans Terrell Pryor. He will only be a true freshmen, and he is only a 3 star prospect. However, he IS an electrifying athlete, and he has a pretty good arm.

Our starting QB is likely going to be Steven Threet. Steven Threet: He is a transfer from Georgia Tech. He can't run, and he will only be a redshirt freshmen. But, he has a lot of raw talent. He has a cannon of an arm, has great size at 6'6, 228, was a 4 star prospect coming out of high school, and was rated as the 9th best QB in the nation from the class of 2007.

Do you not realize how many people attend OSU because of our medical programs? Among the best in the country. We were one of the first to do a succesful heart transplant. Swearing shows lack of education. Mudsquid has got to be the only MU fan that I can respect. MU has great tradition and always a grat team. By no means do they suck. I celebrate the fact that the two best teams in the nation this year are in the Big Ten. I am a Michigan fan, but I respect OSU's awesome teams. Jim Tressel may be the best coach in the nation. UM failed to live up to its potential several years in a row, but this year is different!
Michigan's run defense will dominate OSU this year, but I don't think we can stop their passing attack. If Manningham and Ecker are healthy, The Blue will find a way to win at Columbus.
