This man is brilliant, no doubt about it.. I even love the fact he covered this song in general, but i honestly do prefer the deeper voice, but still..brilliant :)
This guy is the real deal! Echoes from the past, a hybrid between ol Hank Sr and western swing, hillbilly jazz at its finest. His version of this Johnny Horton classic is true to the original, like Wayne himself, honest, and true to the maxim 'keep is simple, stupid'.
The hottest group in country today, REAL grass roots country. These guys have definitely found their calling in life. Great ol' Johnny Horton song and a great video!

Wayne Hancock is great, Hank III is great, can't we agree they're better than most of the other shit out there?

Sh-thead! Hank III learned everthing he knows from the Train! Eat shit!

I think Hank III was quoted as saying something like that. Hank III doesn't really hold a candle to Wayne. Not even in the same class. Cheers.

I think Hank III would even be offended by that remark..

It's tough to rate them when they're both so great! Check out James Hand and Dale Watson, too.

Thanks for the Johnny Horton memory! -- I was in high school and was devastated the day he was killed in that car wreck.
