there's a wierder spike glitch where you keep bouncing from one set of spikes to another with no rings but you dont die. (i used to do it all the time when i was little and i used to ask the game, "Your ass hurt enough?"

You'll need to get a ROM and an emulator.

Get a ROM at 'ROM Hustler' and an emulator at 'Emulator Zone'.

How do you get the Chaos Emeralds? I don't understand the special stages.

Finish the stage with 50 rings or more. Then a giant warp ring will appear and jump into it to go to a special stage.

You turn into a ball and you have to make your way through a spinning maze to a Chaos Emerald. If you touch a circle that says "Goal" you will automatically exit the Special Stage.

I meant controls. I can see with my eyes what the special stage is like.

You should've been more specific. Anyways, the controls for the special Stages is just moving and jumping. There are also special circles that change the way the stage rotates. I hope this helps.

Sorry if you don't like it. I was a n00b back when I made this, but certain people liked my voice. Also, it's easier for me to give out helpful tips and strategies when necessary when I commentate, which is the point of a walkthrough. ;)

Death on the spikes isn't a glitch...

Getting hurt, then landing on spikes and dying while having invincibility frames is not a glitch? If it's not, then it's a programming error.

I think they put it in purposely to make it harder and they removed it from Sonic 2 and 3 because they thought it was too hard.
