I love this song. I've always thought it was an ode to the singer's baby. "I don't know your name, don't know your sex, don't know what you look like, doesn't make much sense that i will love you almost like my own." Like the singer is prepping herself for the intense bond she knows she will feel for this newborn infant of hers. "What can I do now?" she asks, but "welcome you in,", because the baby is on its way into this world.
