  • Sweet rihanna ad up top! hahahha.Like a squashed bug on a church window.Sing Harriet sing!

  • @Archer: "Goodbye" from Blind. The middle of the song has a part where Harriet does multi-layered vocals that are so beautiful, it sounds like what I imagine Heaven would sound like. The rest of the song's great too.

  • 2 people never had any joy....

  • I saw them in NYC supporting this album--they were outstanding. It was funny, though; they only had this set of songs to perform, so they repeated one of them for the encore.

  • I'd like Harriet, dear Harriet, to let her hair down.

  • @modelleg nice referrence to "So I Married an Axe Murderer". Great movie.

    .

  • her voice is so... (sigh) like a summertime cloud raining cherry blossoms out of a clear blue sky.

  • @chyman acceptable

  • Sing it girl...you got me swaying and smiling here

  • For some reason, of all of the good stuff from the 80s and 90s, I always had a crush on Harriet - at least her voice and their sound. Soft, sexy, haunting, good beat. What's your favorite Sundays tune?

  • @ArcherBowman Here's where the story ends. is my favorite I must admit I don't know a lot of the Sundays music but what I do know I like.

  • @MrBuc128

    Check out some Mazzy Star

    there also pretty good,

Framed a lot of homes listening to these tunes in the (90)s

  • @MrBuc128 their first cd is all you need to know :-) ok... and the Wild Horses cover. Nuff said. I discivered them in early 1990... to this day they are one of my "top 10 if stranded on a desert island cds". (I own all their stuff... big, big fan)

  • luv this album...another one of those haunting, ethereal female voices, along with Toni Halliday and Colleen Fitzpatrick.

  • lucky to be alive, lucky to see them live, cannot imagine my world without them

  • Why does VEVO feel the need to put images of stupid-looking people on their channels?

  • One of those songs (and bands) I listen to over and over.

  • It's hard to realize and to really think that this song is indeed over 2 decades old. Time has so tremendously gone by.

  • sorry - these folks have little or nothing on "the innocence mission"

  • @justinian1962 the sundays were WAY better than the innocence mission. so was shelleyan orphan.

  • @wash2007 well, that's an interesting opinion (which each person is free to have) - but, like mine, it's just that - an opinion.

  • the sundays were WAY better than the innocence mission. as was shelleyan orphan.

  • they wont let you hear it without ads attached... that should tell you all how fine it is.

  • Best song on this album!

  • stupid bitch gaga advertising here again. what a sad mug. hahahahaha

  • Get on You Tube and check out this young lady Hattie Cooke. I think she's like 15 or something. She is simply amazing.

  • Who thought it would ever end.

  • @ctweebee

It's a shame for us because they got out of the game after arguably their most successful album, but whether we like it or not, family is more important. I respect and lament Harriett and Dave's decision at the same time.

  • Why is it when I want to watch a music video with true talent on display Vevo has a no talent Britney Spears banner fouling the page?

  • @PlutoTourist

OMG! You are brilliant! And so right! It's like the distance between here and the next galaxy!

  • @PlutoTourist

    Or Lady Gag-Gag

  • @reivenlocke Yeah, lately it's been all that untalented gag me twice chick.

  • Every single time I hear Harriet Wheeler's voice, it takes me back to June of 1990 when one of my best friends at the time and I drove across Southern New Mexico.....White Sands, Cloudcroft, Arteisa, Carlsbad and the Sacramento Mountains.

  • This song has such a haunting element to it...

  • yes there was some fun times in the 90s

  • Just going down memory lane... .saw them in Lawrence, KS at Liberty Hall back in the early 90's. Front row center... I sit back and think how lucky I was.

It's sad that we'll probably never have any new material but on the other hand it makes the memories legendary.

  • yummm!

  • Sick this thing only has 85k views. Harriet's voice is just crazy.

  • I added a Sunday's playlist to my mp3 player last night. Truly uplifting and beautiful music.

  • Songs like this make me sad that I was a die-hard "classic rock" nerd in high school, when this album came out. On the other hand, its powerful beauty and melancholy make me think that the Sundays were the very last thing a melodramatic fifteen-year-old kid needed to be exposed to!

  • Mysterious, melancholy, beautifully sweet music. And the finest natural saprono I've ever heard. To hear her is to love her.

  • Wow. I didn't know they made a video for this song. God, I miss this band...

  • oh shit ! I'm in love

  • Saw them in the early 90's at a small club in Atlanta. This song was sooooo beautiful!!

  • So many memories attached to this song!

  • No dislikes now thats what I like to see

  • @DOCTORWHOTARDIS13

Honestly who could dislike this song?

  • What an amaizing group!!! Absolutely wonderful music.

  • I would gladly carry her baby if given the chance....and I'm a guy!

  • Gosh I love her voice.

  • I agree that this band should have had much more attention. I never heard of them until today. I hope they are still into doing music somehow somewhere.

  • Just bought their albums a week ago, and damm they're good. This track is one of my favourites.

  • Deeply melodic and totally cosmic.

  • @ltal0308 So well said.

  • VEVO=CRAP

  • @MrBazzabee Why? I wanna know.

  • DearMisfioPeton...It's not really a big deal,...I just HATE adverts, that's all !! Sorry if my comments spoiled your fun watchin' this vid of The Sundays...They are GREAT aren't they, specially Harriet, what a voice !! None of the girls in the modern era can touch her,In my humble opinion !!!

  • @MrBazzabee thanks, I just asked you because I see a lot of people saying that, tha's all, just curious

=) I discovered a while ago and I really like them.

  • I love the 90s. I miss it all. So much innovation then. Now, just a mess.

  • @SemiTall That's not what we were saying in the 90s.

  • I love the music, and lyrical structure of this song. The way the chorus comes at the very end and then ends the song is beautiful.

  • Timeless.

  • Their best song -- from a too-short list of amazing songs. Wish they'd record another album...

  • haunting

  • I love the Sundays!

  • What's underrated is the Sundays' songwriting, wonderfully rich lyrics interwoven with impossibly sweet minor-key melodies on an electric guitar like you've never heard.

Could they come back and hit this stride two decades later? God it would be nice.

  • @knotfest most of their songs are in major keys, especially major 7ths. this one included. and they are one of my absolute favorite bands, but i wouldn't say their guitar riffs/sounds are "like you've never heard"-they borrow a lot from johnny marr and the smiths

  • Awesome !

  • I really miss The Sundays. I wish that Geffen Records or other would record them again. It's been about 12 or 13 years since the last release.

  • Damn! I wish that the Sundays had released a few more albums before they disbanded.

  • I miss listening to their song even though i only heard them when i was 4 years old...

  • Wow! I've been a fan since their first album, and I never knew this existed. You're right, for music lovers only. It really is perfect. I'm so glad they decided to do their own thing and skip the stardom.

  • Great Great Great, very rare, just for who really love music....

  • OH my !!!!!!!! Absolutely BEAUTIFUL.

    Dave is one lucky man

  • saw these guys twice in NYC back in the early 90's,,,,amazing, beautiful. better live than on cd

  • Cocteaus meet the Smiths...perfect combination

  • @scorpiotimothy completly agree with you !::)

  • @scorpiotimothy that is very true :)

  • One of the most under-rated bands ever...LOVE them

  • @scorpiotimothy Agree wholeheartedly. Had this album and listened to it non-stop.

  • @RainPoetry I've gone through 3 CDs of this album because they got wore out. Laser burn, I guess.

  • Awesome! Its the 90s all over again.
