  • Hey Emily, Love the way you train your dogs. My Scottie and I are learning a lot from you. Would you please do a video on hand signals...some of the basics. Thanks again!

  • ty soooo much i love the speech ting plz make more videos

  • i just subscribed!!! thank u so much for existing!!! you have taught me so many tips and i am thankful (even though my dog has only learned sit and shake so far) thank u thank u!

  • Perhap you could use "Palin" for spin to the left and really have a good joke going! Thanks for the great tips. Claire

  • Do i have to have a "clicker" or cant i just clap my hands or some other clicking noise?????

  • @Civicblabla u can just say the word "YES!" to make the behavior, instead of using a clicker.

  • Really good videos. Am going to be spending a whole lot of time in here. Thank You.

  • That's great. I tried it and it worked perfectly. But unfortunately my dog now always wants to offer me the right spin when I try to add the verbal cue for the other direction..

  • "Obama" means spin to the LEFT.

  • How do you teach Kiko to touch your hand to reset??

  • Un ottimo metodo per inserire il cue. Grazie di cuore del video e della interessantissima lezione :)

  • to the left to the left :D

  • You have a way of making it oh so clear! Thank you, again!

  • Shouldn't the verbal cue "Obama" be for spinning to the left? Sorry, just had to say it. LOL!

  • @MegF142857 Left wing joke?

  • So funny!

    Nice Prompt Switch!

I have been going to write an article on a prompt switch for a couple months now and have not gotten around to it.

    Good show!

    Peace,

    Ron

  • Thanks for another brilliant video Emily! Once again, this helps me greatly while I'm trying to train that pup we're looking after this month! :)

  • Yet another great tip from you, Emily! This will surely be used by me in the future! Thank you! 5 stars!

  • Helpful tip as usual! I get lazy and usually stop at the hand/body signal.

  • Fantastic! 5*

  • I am not sure that Boogie is as smart as Kiko but thank you again Emily for another great tip!!! Now I know what I have been doing wrong (saying the verbal cue at the same time as giving the visual one). Going to try this! - Lili

  • lol, too crummy. Great walkthrough on verbal cues, Emily! Super useful. :) I sometimes get so excited about teaching new tricks that I stop teaching at the hand signal and move on to the next trick, heheh. It looks wayyy cooler to do a visual cue! 5*s!

  • super illustration!!

Splash is too cute waiting patiently.

  • Thanks for the video! I've had some trouble with adding verbal ques so this helps allot. :o)

  • Love the comment at the end... Hahah! :)

    Great vid!

  • Great vid!

  • Fantastic! I love Kiko and Splash... And it's also very useful see what you do when the dog doesn't respond to the cue!

  • Your videos are so clear to understand, i always show these to clicker-newbies :) I can't even describe how cute kiko is :D

  • awesome video =)

    you guys are great

  • Thank you for your excellent help!

  • Great video! Kiko is so smart!

  • yay for tip of the day!

Whenever Mi offers other behaviors I have trouble remaining silent; it's so darn cute that I start to giggle and want to hug her up.

  • I know! :)

  • thanks, I cut my own hair. I am weird.

  • Great video!! Any chance you do a vid on whistle training? Ive been charing this like you do a clicker, how do develop it outside especailly around other dogs, they are responding well indoors now

  • you mean using the whistle as a marker or as a cue?

  • as a cue to recall when outside around other dogs mainly

  • Very nicely demonstrated!

(But shouldn't "Obama" be a cue for spin to the LEFT? :)

  • I actually didnt think about it! Then I though, what a weird random word to choose. It was going to be 'hamster' first... then 'Obama' came out.

  • @StacyBS why? Obama is just a random word emily chosen, so why is it spin to the left?

  • @nataliawasilewska97 - Because Democrats are considered to be on the "left" in politics... it was just a silly pun (and one that several other people seem to have made).

  • these tips are so important for those who want to start on clicker training, thanks!

  • Great tip Emily!! Kiko is such a smart girl =o) 5* ~Heather and Jesse~

  • Awesome video! Kiko is so freakin' fast with the spinning!

  • Another great video. 5* BTW, love your hair. :-)

  • first!

  • :) Thanks for being the first to watch my video ;)
