hey, liking your lipstick shade... haven't worn lipstick myself in like 4ever...more of a chapstick kinda girl now lol... but it's when I see a shade like that, that makes me want to use lipstick again...
anyway so wanted to ask you if you ever tried that Boots No. 7, "Restore and Renew" serum?
xoxo keep up the good work :)) & Stay True to Yourself
@aimas99 I actually didn't wear lipstick for a good decade! That is until a fantastic subscriber sent me a Lavshuca lippie a year or so ago and since then I've slowly made my way back...lol....yes I have tried the Boots serum but alas I found it waaayyy too siliconey (is that even a word) so I gave it away to a friend. Thanks for the words of support! ;-D
@kokolaroo I did check them out .. unfortunately either they didn't have a full stock or there wasn't any shades that would suit me. I am looking for something close to a brownish mauve nude! I don't want much do I? lol I went in to a bit of a craze last year but for some reason I'm not find THAT right one:) oxo
@ukeelady What? Did you go somewhere that had a limited collection? They have tons of shades although a lot of them were a bit too dark or vibrant for me but I could swear they had quite a few brownish mauves.......oh well I guess you can't win em all...
@kokolaroo No I didn't and thank you for that tip .. I only looked in one place so I haven't given up ... but good to know that I need to be looking for an LE collection! Thank you! oxo
hi, i wanted to ask u about the viva amaze gel i use it everyday and it sloughs off everyday so does that mean i have so much dead skin ...i am 32 does that happen to u
@mbarda Alas it has never worked for me....in fact all it ever did was make the skin around the pimple dry, flaky and crusty ;-(( Glad it works for you though ;-D
I totally agree that a lot of drug store lipsticks are just as good as some high end lipsticks unless there's a color that really pops out at me in the high end selection. Great review and I love that lipstick color!
@Enchanteralle I find drugstore lipsticks and mascaras to be pretty much the same as highend......and of course there are certain ones that outshine the more pricier ones ;-))
I adore how real you are. I could just sit here and "hang" with you a while. :) You're just one cool chic. <3 That Stila palette has been on my list for a while now. It's beautiful! Have a lovely weekend! ~Shawna
@ratherbedancing3 aww thanks for the kind words Shawna! The Stila palette is totally worth getting and I think you'll be very happy when and if you do ;-)) Hope you have a great weekend too!
@Beecozz7 To be honest, it may take months for me to do that video. Even though I've been able to upload quite regularly right now all the videos save for Faves of the month were preshot weeks ago all at once because I just don't have the time to film. The Inglot takes more work than I'm able to put in because I would need to pull apart both palettes in order to get all the #'s and then try to do swatches and then list everything in the below bar...even typing it I'm getting stressed..lol!
You make me laugh! very creative with your words and right to the point!! i ACTUALLY get what you mean.. i see your hair has grown out very long... i'd love to see you with your hair waved/curled. can you do a video on that? putting on elegant curls, i think you'll look very pretty ^_~
Ok it took two stores to find it and of course the first store was having BOGO 50% off so now I own three of the CoverGirl lippies! LOL I bought Delish of course, gorgeous! Kiss and Sweetheart (it's going back, too blue based for my liking).
Great favorites, thanks for sharing! I love the Maybelline foundation as well. Those Josie Maran blushes look amazing on you. I'm happy you're back, I enjoy your videos!
I love that Stila palette too! Where did you get that delectable Becca palette? I didn't know Josie Maran was so awesome! Will start to buy her things thanks for letting us know (maybe I'm the only one who didn't sheesh). I love your nails today they really look amazing on your skintone! <3
@blushingpixie I know you love it lady...I got the it because of you! I give you all the credit in my haul vid from a few weeks back ;-))) Yay I'm so glad you're gonna try out some Josie Maran products. Her blushes are really feminine and lovely. Aww thanks, it's Sparituals "Sage" I think it would look great on you too! xoxo
Love the Maybelline foundation as much as I love my Chanel. They both give me a nice healthy, dewy look. I've been breaking out lately and I've noticed that my Chanel foundation clings to the dry patches where the Maybelline does not...even after setting with a little powder.
@kokolaroo I've tried swirling them together (when I was first playing with it), but it seemed a little too dark. I use it on the high parts of my face. I'll have to try them all together one more tine now that I'm familiar with the bloc, but my initial reaction was that it looked like a bruise : P I confess, I'm one of the 'few' who love to listen to you talk. : ))
@ClementineCutie If you've already tried it then I wouldn't bother ;-)) Different strokes for different folks I guess......"bruises" aren't a good look....lol ;-D
This is just for anybody who's curious about the Chanel gloss that koko featured – the full product name is 'CHANEL LÈVRES SCINTILLANTES Glossimer No. 25 Volage.'
@kokolaroo I know, right?!?? My mom and I were actually talking about (well, more like complaining about, lol) this just the other day, and she goes, 'Well they're Chanel...I guess they can do whatever they want.' haha
I actually love cardboard packaging because it's light and it absorbs more impact than plastic or metal packaging which keeps my clumsy butt from breaking shadows all the time.
"blah blah whatever" I love it :) You and I are very much the same! I don't really show that side of me especially in my videos...Haven't tried Josie Maran because of the price! I wish the Maybelline foundation came in a shade light enough for my uber pale skin
@pdxbeautiful ah nutz I wish you were able to try the Maybelline foundation too! Well you can always get a sample of Josie Maran at Sephora, that way you can see if it's worth the money or not ;-))
@Jinete9999 I really wasn't crazy about the Sephora collection....there were a few nice ones but I'm back to using mostly all japanese mascaras again ;-)
@MissHanaG Hana you are really missing out on the Stila palette. For cardboard it's pretty nice packaging and you would LOVE the shadows. Maybe you could just tell yourself you're doing your part for the environment in purchasing it! LOL
I've not tried any of the CoverGirl lipsticks but that color just went to the top of my list! Oh I wanted to mention the derm. sent me home with Tazorac samples as well as OTC Neutrogena samples. She said I can use the latter on the off nights from the Rx.
Woo hoo, a Koko video! I've been using the shimmer bloc with a fan brush & it works really well. I never use the darker color though. It's waaay too dark on my face, but I do like it as a shadow. I use the gold as a highlight on center of lids. I looove it! I have to have that little thin liner brush. I've been looking for a super skinny one like that, so thanks ; ) I know you were happy this vid was under 12 minutes, but I was like - "wha? she's done already?" : ((
@ClementineCutie Do you ever swirl the colors together? That's what I usually do and it leaves a beautiful sheen with dimension. You don't notice the dark shade at all.....but I love the idea of using it individually as well. Great idea on using them as shadows too! Oh believe me, there may be a few who like looong vids but I'm sure the majority was like....whew thank gawd it was only 12 mins this time.....lol! ;-D
Yay! Love to see a new vid from you in my inbox! The Becca Palette looks yummy.I forget to look at her website since she left Sephora. Agree about the cardboard packaging, just not that into it especially when we pay for high end brands. I have recently dipped my toes into drugstore makeup & been on a lippie frenzy!! Who knew you could find something that nice for a low price? (not moi) Especially Maybelline (they need a more hip name).love their eye brightener, & trying the mousse you love too!xo
@dawnten I swear drugstore lippies and mascaras are just as good as high end if not better in some cases. Thank gawd for YT or I would never have known and missed out on some really fantastic products! ;-D
Koko, your video in my subscription box always makes my day! I feel exactly the same about paper packaging. I can't stand it. Therefor I have no Benefit, Stila or any of those palettes... No matter how good is the product inside, I am not interested. Which is probably my lost Lol Oh well, that's how snobish I am :-) Happy to know your favourites. Few of them made the way on my wish list...Big hugs to you dear Koko. Love, Hana x
@MissHanaG aww you're so sweet Hana! I can't wait to see which products make it into one of your videos ;-))) By the by the Stila palette is definitely worth a look. The packaging is actually quite nice....the bronzy pinkness and it's quite sturdy. The colors inside are truly fantastic! ;-D xx
Koko you have inspired me to "declutter" and get rid of products and things I don't use. You mentioned it in a video once or twice that you give away or get rid of things and I have kind of been on a kick...and its you I think of when I am focused on decluttering...so thank you.
@MsTheBow Yes I'm a HUGE declutterer! I have 2 or 3 bags of things to give away going at all times. It doesn't surprise me that once you started, you just can't stop. It gets addictive... and you feel spiritually and emotionally "lighter" ...if that makes sense? Thanks so much for sharing that!! Whoohoo...you go gurl! ;-D
For those "red angry blemishes" Shea Terra's Tamanu Oil works for me. I have very sensitive skin so I decided to try the oil since it's recommended for acne, rashes, sunburn, etc. When I got it and took a whiff of it, I wanted to send it back. The scent wasn't horrible, but it wasn't great either. A little goes a long way, I squirt a dab onto a q-tip and apply it on a blemish every day, the redness goes away in 3days and it's gone within the week. Hope this tip works for someone :)
i totally understand when a pimple is ANGRY! LoL i picked up the laura mercier concealer, but haven't used it yet. i'm just finishing up my nars one. i love my nars concealer duo... my fave for easily two to three years <3
@Ev3ryDayFabULoUS Just FYI the LM is very concentrated and doesn't really contain a lot of oil if at all which is why it's so great. Once you put it on a blemish it doesn't move or slip around but it's definitely not for under the eyes. Just for blemishes and imperfections on the face. Would love to hear your thoughts when you try it! ;-D
Only 12 minutes & you didn't say "what the mother?" even once for me. Oh well, I still freakin' love your videos, woman! Never buy anything from Covergirl. I don't like the packaging, but you may have talked me into those lipsticks. Totally agree with you on the Josie Maran: love her, love everything, so girly and the packaging, with all the rose gold, ahhh!. Wish I could find a dupe for her SPF. More than I want to spend, but I love the light feel & smell. Hope you are having a great week! xoxo
@quixoticgirly lol...oh I'm sure you'll be hearing it ad nauseum! Honestly I'm such a package ho that I don't buy drugstore e/s because of the flimsy plastic....probably my loss but I just can't do it. But lippies and mascaras are a total go! Can't wait to hear what you think about the CG lippies! Yes love the rose gold packaging ;-)) xx
@kokolaroo That's one of the things I love about you. I'm a total packaging ho as well. No matter how great the product is, I get frustrated with the cheap plastic crap, then have to pass it on to my girls...and the stickers on everything drives me nuts! I do like the tattoo eyeshadows (glass), but I removed the ugly sticker on the top..ick. It's 9:38pm. I think I'm going to go to the store right now & get a lipstick. Can't take the suspense any more. Ha! xoxo
@quixoticgirly OMgawd don't even get me started on the stickers!! I know everyone was raving about the Wet n Wild e/s palettes and they actually swatched beautifully but I just couldn't go there ;-P..love that the tattoo shadows come in little glass pots ;-) Hahaha you are hilarious! You go get that lipstick!! Woohoo....hopefully it's one of the CGs. I can't see anyone not loving them! Can't wait to see what you got...lol ;-)
@kokolaroo I love the W&W trios, but they are sooo ugly! I know! I keep buying them, but the only one I've kept is the 'Knock on Wood' because the colors are so beautiful and it's just fantastic eyeshadow. But I keep it waaaay in the back at the bottom of my eyeshadow drawer with my other "naughty-ugly" eyeshadows. They are like my red-headed step children...hahaha!
The josie maran argan oil makes my face very red when I put it on my face. And it takes forever to dry down. I put it on at night only for this reason. I ordered the shea terra after seeing your rave about it. Waiting for it in the mail, they are out right now, but are great about updating the status every few days.
@cfebmom I'll be honest....it may take months to do Inglot because it will take a lot of work. I've only been able to film videos on a few occasions because I just don't have the time. All the videos you've seen save for the monthly faves have all been shot at once and uploaded when I have the time to reply ;-)
Totally agree about Josie Maran love her stuff, but I bought the Shea Terra argan oil, so excited to use it. Thank you for suggesting it. Even got a coupon and it cost 16$+(for the smaller one) shipping etc! Have you ever tried anything else? The other hair products interest me!
Great faves!! I love argan oil and I'm currently using Josie Maran's argan oil but I am so glad you mentioned the Shea Terra brand in your argan oil vid because price point is an important factor. But I do hear you with supporting her in general and I do...I own some of her cream blushes, tinted moisturizer, etc. and now I want to try out her powder blush after you mentioned it :). I think I need to check out some CG...haven't since hs :D Love your vids...you have such gorgeous skin!!!
@MakeupObsessedSteph aww thank-you! Yes I really respect what her company is all about....I LOVE her blushes. They are ultra feminine colors and look good on everyone
@delacotta360 I haven't seen Becca here for quite a few years. It was available at Holts but they stopped carrying it. Yes I swirl all the colors together usually but sometimes I'll just use one or two shades ;-)
Your hair looks extra voluminous. Haha...I was wondering what you were pointing at! The concealer does, indeed, work amazing! :) I've been eyeing JM's cheek products and decided to pick up a NYX cream blush and a NYC one too. Fingers crossed I don't break out from them. Hope you have a great weekend! :)
@mrdizzybubbles Oh believe me it's the lighting....if you were to see me in person, there's no way you could miss it. I've never tried any of the NYX cream blushes but the NYC creme stick is fantastic. I really hope it doesn't break you out! ;-))
hey, liking your lipstick shade... haven't worn lipstick myself in like 4ever...more of a chapstick kinda girl now lol... but it's when I see a shade like that, that makes me want to use lipstick again...

@MissHanaG aww you're so sweet Hana! I can't wait to see which products make it into one of your videos ;-))) By the by the Stila palette is definitely worth a look. The packaging is actually quite nice....the bronzy pinkness and it's quite sturdy. The colors inside are truly fantastic! ;-D xx

Yep, I love Dream Smooth Mouse too...
Koko you have inspired me to "declutter" and get rid of products and things I don't use. You mentioned it in a video once or twice that you give away or get rid of things and I have kind of been on a kick...and its you I think of when I am focused on decluttering...so thank you.
MsTheBow 3 weeks ago

Amazing picks!!!
i totally understand when a pimple is ANGRY! LoL i picked up the laura mercier concealer, but haven't used it yet. i'm just finishing up my nars one. i love my nars concealer duo... my fave for easily two to three years <3
Ev3ryDayFabULoUS 3 weeks ago

Hope you are having a great week! xoxo
quixoticgirly 3 weeks ago
@quixoticgirly lol...oh I'm sure you'll be hearing it ad nauseum! Honestly I'm such a package ho that I don't buy drugstore e/s because of the flimsy plastic....probably my loss but I just can't do it. But lippies and mascaras are a total go! Can't wait to hear what you think about the CG lippies! Yes love the rose gold packaging ;-)) xx
kokolaroo 3 weeks ago
@kokolaroo That's one of the things I love about you. I'm a total packaging ho as well. No matter how great the product is, I get frustrated with the cheap plastic crap, then have to pass it on to my girls...and the stickers on everything drives me nuts! I do like the tattoo eyeshadows (glass), but I removed the ugly sticker on the top..ick. It's 9:38pm. I think I'm going to go to the store right now & get a lipstick. Can't take the suspense any more. Ha! xoxo
quixoticgirly 3 weeks ago
@quixoticgirly OMgawd don't even get me started on the stickers!! I know everyone was raving about the Wet n Wild e/s palettes and they actually swatched beautifully but I just couldn't go there ;-P..love that the tattoo shadows come in little glass pots ;-) Hahaha you are hilarious! You go get that lipstick!! Woohoo....hopefully it's one of the CGs. I can't see anyone not loving them! Can't wait to see what you got...lol ;-)
kokolaroo 3 weeks ago

Waiting for it in the mail, they are out right now, but are great about updating the status every few days.
pinkabuki 3 weeks ago
@pinkabuki hmm I've never heard of that but of course everyone's skin reacts differently. Hope the Shea Terra works for you ;-))

cfebmom 3 weeks ago

Is Becca only available in Canada? Super drug or dept. store?
So danged funny your conversation with the Zit!!!
Do you swirl all the colors in the LM illuminator or use each color separately?
Great vid, I like these short ones so I can watch the whole thing and not hurry through them. XOXO Susan
delacotta360 3 weeks ago

I really hope it doesn't break you out! ;-))
