After seeing this, I'm amazed that people still think the ship should be raised. There's nothing left! Everything shown in this video is barely recognizable. The ship is DEAD.

There are around 2 or 3 versions of Nearer My God To Thee, and this isn't the one that would have been played by Hartley; but it is a very nice recording! Where'd you find it?

@BarryDennen12 - Hartley was a violinist, not a pianist ;o) The debate is still out there to which version the band played and one that will never be answered.

Note that I said, it's not the version that "would" have been played, logically speaking. He could have played any one of them, but the numbers are on the side of the people who recognised the version played in A Night To Remember as the one being played on the ship, and at memorial services afterwards. Again that's not 100% proof of it being 'the' one, but it is more probable.

very good video men !!!!! this video show the damage of in the ship but no old is los, like the windows in 1st class, o the wooden suport in the 1st class dinig saloon, that make me think a lot of ideas !!!!!!! i realy want to scream, wen i see that the world have so much money but they also buy useless things but thei can clean or protec the ship but thei don't want only because the ship is in the bottom of the ocean !!!!!!!! well woow great and amazing video, is the best of my little life !!!

@kfhify Many times i think we idiots that we dont raise it,but really it would cost billions and we have 50% changes to bring it with many parts having break up.I think the best time to raise it is when it collapse in 10 years,50 years,100 years{who knows}.Piece by Piece and recreate it as much as we can.IT WILL COST BILLIONS.But think how much dollars it will bring from people paying to see it.THE SHIP THAT MUST BE SAVED IS BRITANNIC.100 METERS{IN MY COUNTRY}IN ONE PIECE,PERFECT CONDITION!!!

I have never seen most of these shots, gorgeous. The spiral staircase leading up from the boiler rooms reminds me of the one from the Britannic but more decayed.

Programmes that show expeditions to the wreck like to show the exposed engine rooms, but they rarely show footage beyond that section. Its the knowledge that the stern (Poop Deck) was where a thousand people gathered to await their fate.

There is, I believe, a planned dive for the summer of 2010. I too am not only anxious to she her again, but also not that optomistic in terms of how bad she has deterioated since the last dive in 2005. I am expecting to see most of her boat deck fallen in since then. But. . . . she cant last forever. However, her memory can.

Yes, in 2005 the boat deck and marconi roof looked very fragile...It`s sad. I too think that most of the boat deck has fallen in...The forward cargo cranes has maybe fallen through the well deck...Who knows.

Same as the Starboard side. The ship still has much of her paint. The boat deck housings still have all the white paint. The paint is still there, just covered in sediment.

I've read there are plans for another expedition to the Titanic wreck for the centennial of the sinking in 2012. Though again, I'm too afraid to see what has happened to the wreck now. Last I checked when Cameron was down there in 2005, the mast has collapsed, but it's still there and the place where the Titanic's Gym was at is almost gone. However, he did locate the Turkish Baths and the cabin room he based upon for his Titanic movie. Complete with the original clock with fireplace.
