When we got home and washed the foot of mud gathered underneath it I was amazed that it's only complaint was some slight grinding noises.
@chooperXmane well just dont ever ride in the back and let ur friends drive, cuz from experience, you will get quite car sick. trust me you will turn more shades of green than a lizard. also it would be a good idea to thoroughly inspect the entire undercarrige, a family member of mine has an early 2000 model and the frame and underbody are rusting out really bad it was bought new so we know it wasnt mistreated. i figured it would be a good idea to check it out just for safety sake.
Toyota's are real wheeling machines not just oversized useless pavement queens with a lift with some nitto tire's for show! just cuz its " looks " aggressive!

I like jeeps! But their not as good as the old ones. I do love how they are so geared down, my cusin can creep up the steepest hills and be idle when going upsteep hills.

@ultra187 Those look like they are only 31's or 33's. Either way, they're only about a 10.50 wide. If I were to nail it down, I would judge it solely by the offset and say they're 31x10.50's. They are way too short to be 35's. However, it would appear that there is indeed a BL on it.

And I also use to work for PEAK PERFORMANCE OFFROAD which is an offroad company that you dont hear about unless you have $200,000.00 to start with " I use to build full blown off road race trucks ". And another fact Jeep guys hate is the FJ40 was not built to copy the Jeep at all, it was built to compete with Land Rover so if you look at an fj40 under the skin it has more in common with a Rover than a Jeep.
If you dont like the new ones check out some of DEMELLOW OFF ROAD's video's of their new style Tacoma with a solid axle swap and shit loads of cool stuff done to it it might just change your mind maybe. Ive got an 86 xcab 5 spd 22R 4x4 , just had a fresh machined 22R put in 2 months ago, it took me about 6 wks to get my new weber 32/36 carb sealed and running right but oh boy, I'm about to get a fresh paint job, I'm already looking for another Yota 4x4 to fix up, I want 2 of them, they are loads of fun
had it appraised last week cause chevy rammed it in the back....crumpled fender broken lights ....fixed it myself ...told it was a write off...I said f off ...still on road. hey anyone, i need some help. my 94 p/u 22re 4x4 has a leaking rear pinion seal next to the drive line connection. its spitting diif fluid all over. plus the shaft wabbles a bit. marlin crawler says its gonna blow and itll be a 500-600 fix. but the yota still runs and all. any help is gretly appriciated. 3" bl, 3 sl. on 35x12.5x15. i dont know the gear ratio cus my pops did it b4 he passed. im guessing its 5.29. i still can go 75 on hw and still use 5th gear.
simple, replace the seal. pull the drive flange and pop the old seal out, get a new one from autozone and put her in. put the flange back in, retorque her and bolt driveline back up.
whta keeps coming loose? the seal or the drive flange?? if its the drive flange you need to knock in the nut so it loks.. If the seal is "coming loose" put some cat green on it. lol

And another fact Jeep guys hate is the FJ40 was not built to copy the Jeep at all, it was built to compete with Land Rover so if you look at an fj40 under the skin it has more in common with a Rover than a Jeep.

If you dont like the new ones check out some of DEMELLOW OFF ROAD's video's of their new style Tacoma with a solid axle swap and shit loads of cool stuff done to it it might just change your mind maybe. My cusin was tell me they had a hot toy and were jumping it and knocked a hole in the radatior,they left it there,the next day a wrecker driver picked it up and my cusin was talking to him, he said the trk was still running and everything that was aluminum melted to the block and it was still running but rough. Ive got an 86 xcab 5 spd 22R 4x4 , just had a fresh machined 22R put in 2 months ago, it took me about 6 wks to get my new weber 32/36 carb sealed and running right but oh boy, I'm about to get a fresh paint job, I'm already looking for another Yota 4x4 to fix up, I want 2 of them, they are loads of fun

hey anyone, i need some help. my 94 p/u 22re 4x4 has a leaking rear pinion seal next to the drive line connection. its spitting diif fluid all over. plus the shaft wabbles a bit. marlin crawler says its gonna blow and itll be a 500-600 fix. but the yota still runs and all. any help is gretly appriciated. 3" bl, 3 sl. on 35x12.5x15. i dont know the gear ratio cus my pops did it b4 he passed. im guessing its 5.29. i still can go 75 on hw and still use 5th gear.

simple, replace the seal. pull the drive flange and pop the old seal out, get a new one from autozone and put her in. put the flange back in, retorque her and bolt driveline back up.

whta keeps coming loose? the seal or the drive flange?? if its the drive flange you need to knock in the nut so it loks.. If the seal is "coming loose" put some cat green on it. lol
