I always enjoyed Transatlanticism (hence why I'm here); Lightness was one of my favourite songs when I was younger. But my observation stems from the comments I see on videos, really. I know 3 or 4 people in real life who actually do/did give a shit about them, all bar one of which don't/didn't tend to feel sorry for themselves.

Plans showed an increase in the polish of their music, but there were still some brilliant songwriting moments. If you listen to the EP that came after Narrow Stairs, the themes through the album itself and then the EP are hammered to death. That was the first time I had felt a bit worn out by their music.
