@mbenz190 Yeah, I think it was in '96 or '97. I remember my mom wouldn't let me or my friends drive to the concert which was in Kansas City. That bit was filmed at the KLZR in Lawrence, KS. They had a film crew there but I never imagined the footage would end up on something like VH1.
The guys were really nice. At the time I was an aspiring drummer and Greg hopped on an old school typewriter and typed out a nice note to me and folded it into a paper airplane. I had everyone sign it :D

@jplanet80 That's awesome! When was this, '96 or '97? And what was it like meeting Everclear during a time when many fans (myself included) considered the band in their "prime"?
Lol, VH1 got the story of Santa Monica wrong. The song came about due to a girlfriend he had during his teenage years who killed herself, and Art tried to do the same by jumping off the Santa Monica pier.
