  • Whats dat that he wasnt talented? He was s friggin McDonalds All American. he should be in the nba. And he retires?? Why, go to europe and earn money. Or is he injured? What happend, pliz, from Kazakhstan.

  • @Lorenshyne After a couple years of playing in the Pros he decided he had enough and wants to be a coach. He is now working with U of L as a strength coach under Pitino. He is in a great place to learn to become a coach.

  • @Lorenshyne Yeah, thanks. Its very strange that Andre McGee and that Holloway kid are there too. If not for the injuries i think Padgett would be ballin in Europe.

  • you may not have been the most talented player on the court but you were the best leader.

  • David made everyone on the team better on and off the court. Outstanding player and person!

  • So, what is the Calipari Curse?

    Missed free throws.

When the game is on the line, when the heat is turned up, you can count on any team Calipari is coaching to miss free throws.

    Beware the missed free throws...

  • Thank you Dave, not only did bring leadership to this program but you just a good person thank you, but you bang to boyz down low

  • well i'm glad he did because he made that team better team and better men Thank's David

  • I think he made the right choice...even though I do like Kansas basketball...

  • i like louisville bball, but regardless he could have won a championship at ku

  • You're right....Padgett got us to the Regionals, but the Jayhawks definitely had a great year 2008..Especially beating a tough team like Memphis.

  • we did well in football too(finally) you guys are really good in bball this year i hope you do well in the beast that is the big east

  • So far, so good! Let's hope they continue the momentum into March...thanks for the comment. Go Cards....Go Jayhawks!

  • he probaly felt better at louisville

  • I know we sure enjoyed him here....we would have been in a lot of trouble without him that's for sure.

  • he went pro to the heat

  • I'm glad, because he deserves a chance...

  • david padgett is my teachers brother

  • Teacher? Where?

  • Melissa Padgett at Cathedral Catholic High School

  • That's awesome. The Padgett family is such a great family. I have spoken to their mother, via emails, and she is a wonderful lady. Thanks for sharing.

  • 3:36 still makes my heart ache.

  • Definitely a moment to remember forever. Padgett gave so much heart to this team and to see it broken after this game was hard to witness. He will never be forgotten. Thanks for the comment.

  • He was my favorite player on Louisville this year, it was because of how he played and never let his team get down. If it weren't for the fact that his knees are horrible he'd be drafted like in th top 10, God I'm gonna miss him.

  • He was no doubt the heart of this team. Thanks for the comment.

  • i love him

  • With his heart he is definitely a player easy to love. He'll never be forgotten...Go Cards!

  • this made me cry

god im going to miss him

hopefully he'll come back as a coach someday

  • He definitely would make a great big man coach. Thanks....

  • damn this video makes me wanna cry

  • It was rough putting it together....thanks.

  • WHAT A HEART. HE MADE MY SEASON!

  • He is definitely all heart!!!! Thanks.

  • What a Heart! He became my all time favorite basketball player. I bought his jersey this year and went to pep rally before NC game and Denny Crum signed the jersey. Now I can store the memory of my favorite player and coach! Thanx for the video!

  • What a great thing to have. Denny Crum is awesome! Padgett was the greatest!

  • i love this vid! & i agree w/ u completely! I LOVE DAVID PADGETT!

  • Thanks....David will be missed.

  • agreed!

  • Thanks....

  • i hope he goes on to NBA but my dad says he probably wont because of his knees and how much trouble they've been giving him! but i still have hope that he will become the best NBA player ever!

  • The NBA should never count Padgett out....with the way he came back after his knee injury I believe he can do anything he puts his mind to. Thanks for commenting...

  • your welcome! and ur rite he should get a chance after what he has been through but alays strong through!

  • the miami heat signed him
