nice video and nice buck. one thing is i would tell your camera man to get more video of the deer. like you said " he's down he just crashed" i would have liked to see that not just hear you say it. nice video though. i hunt wisconsin whitetails but would like to hunt mule deer some day maybe in alberta with my grandpa. i like the whole stalking thing it looks like a lot of hard work but it pays off when you shoot a big deer like that. good luck in the future.

You know what else has an effect on the number of good pope and young/ boone and crockett bucks? People that shoot small deer... if some people could just shoot a doe if they are just going for meat, the bucks would have a better chance to mature.

In the area where the deer in the video was taken you are allowed to harvest one buck. The other deer referenced in the video were in other states. One was a mule deer in central Nevada and the other was a Blacktail deer in California. You are however permitted to take multiple whitetail does in the same area with the right licenses.

This is my hunting district. The number of big bucks has gone down in the last couple of years unfortunately there used to be some huge deer in that area.

Yeah the area has gone down hill especially last year. It will come back though good areas always come in cycles.
