air force pilots suck at flying them...army enlisted men have WAY less accident than their af officer counterparts...shout out to all the old crows and RPV'ers.
@motohorse87 Those pussy AF officers, enlisted sensor operators, and intel personnel will save your live when you're under fire and surrounded. We are all brothers in arms and have an important part to play. Have fun flying model planes the Army bought you from Toys R Us.
@AstroChickenII the future of war is UAV. One day these UAV will travel faster than regular aircraft. Wars will be fought with thousands of UAV controlled by a few hundred pilots sitting in bunkers thousands of miles away. The age of the pilot is almost over.
Pilots of these things deal with a very narrow delay time, and exhibit higher stress than pilots inside actual aircraft. That being said, being an unmanned vehicle pilot does take the fear out of the equation, you can follow your target relentlessly.
It's ironic how conditioned ground control is to holding their arms up high for the cockpit crew to see them and to facilitate visual contrast. The cockpit crew is now viewing from the from landing gear. 3:12 & 7:21
@XThedirtyseagullX actually this Drone only costs roughly 4.5 million were as an Apache costs around 14.5 million (and we own 750 of them, the most powerful heli in the world)
yaa right the USA came up with this this is the F/A-22 of unmanned aircraft you probably wont see noo more manned aircraft from the air force the raptor will be the best and last this is the future of not just the united states air force but its allies to these aircraft will save money, and men and woman's life's
@mumugamer2006 Really because REALITY would beg to differ considering that the USA has produced 195 of these "drones" since early 2000 and has both removed our men from the sky and snipers on the ground as it fills a Air-to-Ground attack roll in which it can engage infantry all the way up to tanks. Check your facts
No, its larger, flys faster, has a larger payload, and is more lethal (a lot more expensive too). It is a hunter-killer more than a recon vehicle. Ian
