They should have just said, "We donate $50,000 to such-and-such charity, as chosen by Katy Perry."

Regis didn't make it too clear in this first episode, but they didn't get all four lifelines; they were able to pick ONE out of the four lifelines to use.

Also, too much emphasis on celebrity play was actually one of the things that killed the original primetime run of the show. Since none of them left with less than $32k anyway, they just decided to get rid of the first ten questions for them to save time.

Most of these eps were kept focused on the contestants, which is how it should be.
