It's not that she doesn't have a nice voice, it's just not very distinctive. The sound not anything above just okay. She just seems to be an actress who rides on the wealth and fame of her husband. No individual guts. A woman with too many nannies and housekeepers.
Y'all have got to remember that this isn't an ordinary song/performance. Katie has to make sure that the way she sounds is similar to who her character is. In this song, she is playing another person so as a professional, she must adjust her voice to it.
Just watched the video again to verify any harsh quick judgments made on my part. Some parts of her voice sounded ok. Dance moves...some ok. Overall, would not pay money to see her perform. American Idol would just chew her up and spit her out! I am not a judge, but, I've seen alot of great performers and I've seen the difference between good and bad. Enough said.

Never did stage work....but, I can tell you that the group I was in class with at my local college at Indiana University South Bend are three times as talented as Katie Homes. I see this all the time people getting into films who are not that special. It's a travesty that money talks and bulls---walks! The girls in my class were theatre majors w/great voices, dancing, and singing. Katie has beauty....that's it.

Painful to watch, embarrassing. What an ugly voice, she's giving miley cyrus a run for her money in the homely w/ugly voice department. Her thighs are way too fat & should have left her skirt alone or they should have just used a really sexy performer because in spite of all her plastic surgery Holmes just don't got it. Cruise was a good sport to stand there and look like a buffoon for her.
Has any of you that commented ever did live stage work? Dancing and singing at the same time is hard, and usually the dance moves are more pronounced because everyone needs to see them from first row to last row, so you exaggerate your movements.
I think she and Tom did great! I've always loved this song and she did a great job singing it and dancing to it.
I'm sorry, somethings not right about them being together...I'm glad they are happy but doesn't seem right...and she really can't sing all that great
