  • at 00:33 to 00:40 davey is definatley faking it.

  • Awesome!

  • good times growing up....long ago.....

  • This song is like the soundtrack to my last relationship... It hits how I feel about that mistake... Great song and I made a huge mistake... never again :D

  • Oh my God, i thought it was greenday

Vale a pena conferir!!!

  • Why does this have 134k vies and rebecca black has 33 million ?

  • @Spuntikable Look at the like bars for both.

  • Nesmith is the Best

  • the best is nesmith :D

  • very VERY good, 2 NOT LIKE: 1 COW SHIT AND 1 Justin Drew Bieber

  • How do you put up these videos with out copyrights? i need help.... i try but i made a video for this song and it muted it.....

  • my fave monkees song<3 mickey dolenz is the bestt<3

  • omg <3

  • This reminds me of my youth! I was a Monkee nut, went to see them in 1967 at Wembley but because of the continual screaming couldn't hear a thing!! In 1980s saw them in my local Theatre in Bristol minus Nesmith and they were BRILLIANT, who says they cant play? Tork sat at the organ by himself with just a light on him and played Vidor's Tocata.....EXCELLENT.

    The whole concert was WONDERFUL.

  • Micky dose a great job singing this***** One of My favorite Monkee hits

  • I got here from a Green Day video anyone else

  • @2011Crazystar2011 lmao so did I

  • Oh, look Justin Bieber hair.

  • Great song!

  • Lots of fun for me growing up, all great memories !can't say that about too much!! good old Monkees !

  • Classic tune about unrequited love sung from the perspective of a masochist.

  • Another good Tommy Boyce and Bobby Hart song

  • Also covered by the Suicide Commandos. Brilliant song.

  • I LOVE this song and Davy.

  • LOVE THE SHOW! :D

  • Why am i stand

  • I'm 16 years old and really envy my mom's generation, I sincerelly think I was born in the wrong time...

  • @Yolahnita HA...yeah those were pretty freaky/interesting times! I was only 5 or 6 when The Monkees were on TV, but I had to watch them every Fri night at 8:00. Dad didn't like them because of their clothes and the "long hair." But he still (reluctantly)allowed me to watch the show.

  • I love the Monkees! I wish they would get back on Nick @ Nite.

  • I can't quit listening to this.

    It's so freaking good.

  • I don't hear an electric 12 string, but I see one :-)

  • I have always liked the MONKEES!!!!

  • I'm 35 and grew up on The Monkees. It was thanks to reading the liner notes on Monkees tapes (yes, audio tapes) that I was introduced to The Beatles. And I always adored the old stock footage in this promo (video).

  • I don't see a bassist, but I hear bass!

  • @xcheesyxbaconx Pretend that it ain't there then.

  • no bass lol

  • is goin so fast, must be slower!

  • It almost looks as if they are actually playing live, and not miming that. What; with the speakers placed there. Mitigating against this is the lack of a guitar lead with Mike Nesmith, and no mirophone for Mickey Dolenz. But let it be understood that, nevertheless, Mike Nesmith was actually one of the most accopmplished guitarists of his era. He could really go on a guitar. He was no sham, no fake. Proficient songwriter, too, as it turns out later.

  • I love the monkees. I had the sticker book, think there were darker motives in the words LOL not really kids stuff

  • It's so easy to go there!

  • Michael Nesmith looks like ringo starr at 1:38

  • @thewarisover1 That's Peter at 1:38.

  • such a fantastic and timeless song in my book

  • green beanie with a suit

    .?

  • Pete could do a shiny swingy shampoo hair commercial! Beautiful hair! :)

  • Looks like Vox Amps...but I'll bet they couldn't show the brand without a Payoff to Vox.

  • This is my favorite Monkees tune.I bought ALL the records, was age 12 when they were on the air,but it was NOT COOL to play them in your car 8track later,haha...but now at 55 I am digging them again with some great vids to boot,on Utube.

  • @porcupineinteruptus

You can also get their CD's at rhinorecords

    Robert Nix Rock/Pop Artist

  • --Wow Thank You for Posting! A Real Classic!

  • ggooOOODDddd stuff!

  • i dont know why, don't mind me please, but i love the monkees music waaaaaaay better than the beatles, their music just go so annoying :(

  • @DrugWhore1 tru dat

  • Def one of their best!

  • This song and a 68 Chevy Nova....DAMN!

  • Great quality audio and video - many thanks!

  • I think I'm in love..

  • i love it! Thx for share it,all the best Grey.

  • Mickey was my FAV...not Davey

  • @MultiDiscoCat

you spelled Davy wrong and Micky wrong.

  • This song has a fantastic riff, and Dolenz did a great job with it.

  • one of my favourite songs ever <3

  • Davy is ROCKIN that tambourine at 1:00

  • Davy looks really short in this video! lol

  • I can dig the Victorian movies and Vox Super Beatle Amplifiers.

  • I've always heard that Micky wore a wig the first season, but I never believed it- I thought they just straightened his hair before each episode. And here it looks very natural- is it???

Micky was my first crush too, kell4809 :-)

  • my 1st crush :)

  • Bert & Ray really should have kept the original elements of these music videos so they could have the stuff needed to do a proper music video DVD today. I think the lost footage from the series is nearly criminal. Where are all the stereo tapes of Stu Phillips' incidental music too? Frustrating.

  • Great days, thanks guys.

  • September 12, 1966: The Monkees television show debuts on NBC. ☺

  • the monkees do the four seaons in this song, classic

  • My 8 year old asked me how old Davy was. I told her that he was old like me. She started to cry. Poor baby had a little crush on him. Aaaaah I think Davy broke a lot of hearts. I still have a crush on him! ;)

  • 0:31 0:40 Peter :3 <3

  • What episode was this from?

  • yeah thanks for spoiling my fun...

  • @victorseay no way, sexy as heck. sexy voice too!

  • @victorseay Whaa? how can you say hes ugly?!

  • I love the style they carried out and they are really fantastic and full of positive energy for young people who learnt ethics in the sixties. We have lo learn so much! We don´t have to lose values!

  • Monkees

  • I've never stopped loving this song...

  • wow big spread between their live and studio sound.studio players matter.

  • This is one of my most favorite songs from the Monkees , And I'm 19 . Always one of my top songs i hear most often in my ipod. I love watching the show that they still put on Tv every weekend. Everytime i listen to this song , I'm dying to know the notes for the keyboard solo. Does anyone know the notes for it?

  • Can we go back,,,, ..

  • @luvs2cuddles Let's go :D

  • @darkevul can i come too? i missed it the 1st time :(

  • @myabsynthedream For sure, the more the merrier!!! Unfortunately I missed it the first time too :(

  • hahaha - I can still see my 33 year old at age 11 standing on the coffee table with a hairbrush lip singing along with this! I raised my kids on the Monkees music and TV show and none of them ended up in prison or selling drugs. lol

  • @loriksolak That sounds like a great memory!

I like to believe The Monkees music has that kind of power. The music of today is too violent and hateful, sends out the wrong messages. This music was good and pure.

  • @loriksolak Your an awesome Mom ! lol

  • @loriksolak That's funny because Peter Tork DID end up in prison for smuggling drugs!

  • @loriksolak I raised my kids on the Monkees too! No prison, no drugs! Who needs Dr. Phil!?

  • @riu Also very clean

  • @riu lol davy does....he went on dr. phil with his wife but i blamed the wife cuz she was rlly mean

  • @riu Davey :P

  • @loriksolak that's a way to train a great son. That what my parents did too

  • @loriksolak I did the same thing. Still do.

  • @loriksolak Me, too!! Love the Monkees forever!

  • @loriksolak Me, too!!!!

  • It's not a wedding ring. This ring has a big blue stone in it. You can see it on the front cover of their first album, and on the show.

  • Comment removed

  • they're supposed to be 4 single guys living in a beach house together right?i just noticed in this video Davy's wearing a wedding ring.lol.

  • @judiluvshercules999 yea i noticed it too

  • @judiluvshercules999 They always wear rings. Not only Davy wears rings.

  • This was the only Monkees song that I ever liked... Thanks for posting!!

  • @LouPop13 .. What? the only one you ever liked? Listen to the Harpsichord playing of Peter Tork on "The Girl I Knew Somewhere"?

  • @Torkgasmicgirl8 That harpsichord was on fire!

  • @Kisha1976 ...Yeah I know..."The Girl I Knew Somewhere" is a brilliant song ...made even more brilliant by Peter's musical talent on that harpsichord!! -- Can you tell he's my favourite Monkee??!! (hence my rather naughty screen name - hee hee)

  • Thanks!

  • I love this ! Great song! Great group!

  • sem comentários, uma música excelente e eterna!!! adoro The Monkees!!!
