I completely agree with you, except that this mixer was just in after being released. So was more about showing the first Xone 4D images then a high quality mix video.
Kinda shitty to be honest. The Xone's interface is not perfected yet and has received numerous firmware updates and driver updates, but it's still not perfect.
I'm trying out a new beta driver which fixes a lot of problems, but still has the occasional hick-up.
I'm looking into trading up for a Pro in the near future and that should fix a couple of problems.
Biggest problem is that the one USB port on the Air is shared with the touchpad and keyboard.

This was just a test. The Ableton used on my Mac is the demo version, so i can't save any sets or mappings. I just received the Xone, so i was eager to try it out. I just looped a couple of loops i had lying around the network and started jamming.
Check out my other test video, i used a couple of full songs to mix.
Turns out running it at 96khz make it drop out a lot. I've turned it back to 44k1, no problems now (except for the occasional blip or crack, which IS a driver problem).
CPU indicator in Ableton was at about 20% when the drop outs occur, so i doubt it's the CPU/mem (it's a 1.8Ghz Core2 Duo with 2GB of mem, so 8 channels shouldn't be a problem).

can somone explain to me... can you scrath using the xone 4d? or are those two black round things hav a completely different ppurpose?

That depends on the program you are using.
They're just rotary encoders, so yes, you could use them for scratching in Traktor for example.
But as with all MIDI-controllers with stupendously small rotary encoders, it's not really useful for that purpose ;)

Egt een supermixer lijkt mij, vooral lekker met Ableton maar je hebt deze mix ook wel heel erg netjes in elkaar gefixd;)

Various sources, most of them are from Acapella Heaven CD's, some are filtered songs.

Didnt think, the macbook air would run it due to such slow memory. Thats prob the drop outs. Man that mixer is gorgeous!

Mac OSX drivers are not reliable yet, so that's the occasional drop out.
