Nice to see what you have been up to! We have thought about commercial real estate...we will see I suppose. Hope the winter hasn't been treating you too harshly thus far. We have had two bad blizzards, but within days of their end, all the snow was melted! I even have a broccoli plant that has survived them both! Go figure! ahaha...Have a great week.

Hay. I share the same belief that you do. I have a small business in furniture stripping refinishing and repair. I will tell you that if you want to suport the homestead.this is it. I sell eggs, beef cows, meat chickens and vegtables. the furniture thing has just taken off like mad. If I van do it. Than any one can do it.

my friend don't worry about what other folks say. you don't have to prove anything to them, you are your own man, you know what you can and can't do. you are doing well by your family and taking care of them, and doing a fine job. it doesn't matter if we work in farming or in some other field. some people pride themselves on looking down there noses at others. any job is a good job as long you give them an honest days work for an honest days pay. excellent post homesteadacres.

Dude don't explain yourself to those ignorant "haters". What they call a "decent" job, is just some lame, pointless way of life they need to pay for their 52" hdtv, a mortgage that's killing them, that expensive suv with electric doors cause they're to stupid to close a door themself.

You seem to be doing quite allright, you have a loving healthy family, and try to do what you enjoy and what you feel is right for you!

I love your vids man. They make sense, and are genuine. As far as the haters go, they are just a bunch of jealous individuals with no real life themselfs.

I know here in the US, I have put in probably 85 applications statewide. Just about every one has told me that they are struggling to just keep the employees they currently have and are not looking to hire.

The US has a real problem, that only "real" people know about!!

Apparently the US is doing better now, thats what Obama says... However unfortunately I think he only feels that way since he hangs out with bankers and bailout recipients all day. Those of us not stealing from the taxpayers and having real jobs are seeing more layoffs than ever.. However people in America will still go around talking abotu the great job Obama is doing and how things are getting better, even as they see the layoffs themselves.. some of them getting laid off themselves..
