@mattrix2007 Trikke Tech isn't going to support the T12 ekit--they might come out with a "Super Pon-e 12" with a stronger motor. I'd buy one. Recharging, it would add to the price significantly, and I just don't see that happening in the near term--not to mention the extra friction/drag on the trikker, and trikkers don't like ANYTHING like that. The recharging system would add WORK to the experience without increasing the FUN.
The kit on the T12 that was one of the Ekits we had. It's no longer available or in production. The range was poor and the weight was to much. Plus the acid batteries required to be totally empty before recharging...
Next time, put the cones farther apart and make the Trikker have to throw in a couple carves to help out the motor -- then you'll have a real race that requires that the Trikker put some expertise into the race.
We tried that, but we put the cones like this to make the perfect Tribred turns, the motor didn't do a lot of work. We raced the Pon-e like this at high speed for 2hours!! So pretty efficient... I had to keep the T12 on a leach, beceause my carves where a bit harder, so I could overtake my brother in almost
every corner...and that doens't look good on video ;-)
Watching this again, I see that you guys were working pretty hard and making it look easy. You might get two hours out of the Pon-e, but you are probably about 4% body fat and weigh about 150 lbs, I, er, well, let's just say I get less time out of my battery. Sigh . . . I like my T12 Tribred's higher speed because of its bigger tire, but my Pon-e will beat it off the line. If they come out with a lithium T12 set up, yep, that's another Trikke to buy....when does it end? I hope never.
@TrikkeGuy lol, i like your comment, anyway, you seem the sort of chap that knows his stuff. i read in a comment above that the e kit for the T12 has stopped production, and that it wasnt that good, is there any other Ekits available, and also, why dont any of these elec trikke's have a recharge system whilst your moving without using the motor.
I like both the Pon-e and T12+kit. This ride the T12 had a bit lower tire pressure which translated in a lot more grip. The extra weight on the front wheel helps to make the sharp turns and stop it from bumping out...
Next time I'll try to race with some more guys and have a better camera!
It feels so much like skiing! It's the never ending slope.... (Pon-e battery lasts for almost 2 hours of non stop racing) How cool is that!! This small street was a bit hard to ride one, because when you missed the corner's apex you hit the curb (hard...)

Joris, I'm so glad you got the Pon-e. The Pon-e is the perfect Trikke.
