while cooking on the pot what are the white looking ingredients

on the bottom onions or chicken pieces ?

and do you add any water or not ?

@missIstanbul1, I have two white "things" in the pot, one is stuffed onions, and at the bottom of the pot i put sliced potatoes. I do not add any water to the pot, i only add olive oil and lemon juice, the fluid in the vegetables and the stuffing helps in cooking too. please refer to my blog for the full recipe. thank you.

Thanks!! but you've cooked the rice before right? or I can just add it without cooking?

@theskiizcrying , i do not cook the rice before i stuff the grape leaves, but you can half cook it. when i cook this dish i leave it to cook for around 3 hours so the rice will be cooked to the max, thats why i do not cook it before i stuff it.
