Good luck to you all. I did this 20 yrs ago!! My life took me to diff career and now had to take alllll hours over again, but didn't mind becs i love what I do. I too, will soon be going for my PA state boards and thankfully, my school offers a 1hr class ea. week free until you go. I can't believe there is NOTHING on YOUTUBE for PA state boards. I am posting everywhere because I'm asking that someone from PENNSYLVANIA PLEASE post a full video of the practical in parts etc,,I need a guide. TY.

Should I do Cosmetology? Im not sure whether or not to go for it. I am obsessed with makeup. Hairstyling is okay, but I see makeup as more of an art to me. Is it hard? Im not really a studious person. I graduated almost the top of my class in highschool with honors and I didnt really put much effort, if I did, then I would probably be valedictorian but oh well.

Is it easy? Does it involve a lot of science? Im just so scared and I just cant decide :(

nope no science girl just creativity ;) it is definately n art and so if hair if u look up diff hair styles and youll see some difficult ones and thats where u realize wow! that is def art cus it takes someoen wit a nice imagination or creativity to come up with those things, im going to take comsetology too soon and i also didnt know i had it in me ever, till now

Lol, but it also involves skin care and esthetics. I also researched and it does involve science. With the pH balance of hair coloring and maintaining skin rejuvinized with daily facials. Memorizing creams and lotions, with which kind of anti flammable product is correct for each type of skin. Also organizing and knowing your safety regulations in harmful ingredients need to be labelled and out away in case of dangerous treatments.

yeh has to do with it , but the career aint based on that and if u learn how to do them right really its just hair dyes n i hope its not that difficult

i did this when i took cosmetology class in highschool, it's actually very easy not hard at all. HOWEVER, the result is ugly, it's like jerry curls

In TX we only do one roller on the curl demo and the perm is seperate.

I was told that you can not use papers for state board.
