I guess this is good for people who have never even heard of surfing before, but this almost way too simplistic. There also some false facts, like requiring a wetsuit or leash. The waves you were surfing on were too easy, even for a beginner; they were like those annoying little ankle-biter waves you see on bad days. Also, it seemed like you really had no grasp on real surfing or the logistics of it; almost like you were reading this out of a textbook.

@superjuice1000 Pretty expensive, bro. It depends on if you buy second-hand or something like that. I know that new the stuff is pretty pricey. Ask a friend if you can borrow a board and suit or if you can rent one for the first few times you go surfing so you don't get stuck with expensive stuff. :) Good luck!

yes, they never mention bending the back foot inward, and bringing the front foot to where your chest it, or actually should be just a little farther on a straight line through the chest point between feet so you dont fall back as easily. also, your doing most board direction control with your back leg. the chest is the center of bouyancy, like center of gravity in water. the farther up the front foot, the more weight shared between feet, which you ideally want most on the front foot.

and another thing people dont always get, DO NOT JUMP UNLESS SPECIFICALLY TRANSFERRING BETWEEN WAVES! water doesnt like to compress, especially when it has momentum and alot of inertia relative to you. you want to maintain grip.

You shouldn't hold the side of the board as it creates unbalance. You should put your hands just below your chest and fairly near the centre of the board. Also your feet may not touch the back of the board if you have a larger board or they may go over it if you have a smaller one so that point is incorrect. Also the foot positioning will only work with an large soft board. Nice clear video though.
