You do a magnificent job of demonstrating. I'm going to make an upholstered headboard using heavy cotton upholstery velvet. I would like to do a little embroider on it. I could buy a fabric that I like which is done already but I've had this velvet and want to use it,what can you recommend. Thanks. Alice

Nice tips on metallic threads. The bit about feeding from the side will probably solve some problems I've had using metallics, as well as the felt piece under the spool. Thanks.
