  • "you're going to encourage him"? we should be so lucky.

  • ron paul is the best person for president in 2012. Research him, don't take my word for it, im an idiot.

  • What's her compliment got to do with anything?

SHE TOTALLY SHRUGGED OFF HIS QUESTION!

  • This guy is one of the few Republicans in office I respect. Hillary's tip of the hat was well deserved and earned.

  • These peacenik appeasers are out of control. They don't understand that the Islamic enemy wants war. They speak as if the Islamic enemy doesn't exist. So as America lets down her guard, look for another NineEleven or worse.

  • Wow. There are just some things people say that make you get on your knees to look for your shattered jaw. When did we start spelling out 9-11? Was there a memo? Does Glen Beck know?

There are more than just islamic people out to get us son. Pirates, Russians, Chinese, Koreans, Rednecks, Evangelists, and Yao Ming. Corporations, fire ants, the weather, the government, and animal flus. Not to mention mexicans. OURSELVES! We've got to kill em all!

  • It is a fact that most wars today involve Muslims who are unable to get along with their neighbors. This is true from Nigeria to Russia to the Phillipines to Serbia and all points in between. You are free in this nation to pretend that that isn't so. Go head, son, keep your head in the sand!!

  • You forget to mention all of the CIA members peppered in those conflicts, not all of them on the side you'd imagine them being on.

My point was, you can't fight a religion. Period. It hasn't worked before, and it will not work now.

Suggesting anything to the contrary is having your head in the sand.

  • The CIA is encouraging Islam's warlike nature? I don't think so. Islam is more than a religion. It is a religion with military and political components. Obviously a religion with military and political components can be fought. In the case of Islam which is misogynistic, religiously intolerant and homophobic, it must be fought.

  • Um, derr, for decades. The CIA trained and backed Osama Bin Laden. Put in place Sadaam. Religiously Intolerant? Homophobic? Sounds like Christianity to me. Every religion has it's extremest, political figureheads, and freedom squashing ambitions if it is called a religion. People always pick and choose their bible and koran verses and adapt ancient texts to todays issues and to their personal ambitions.

To focus on one relgion in particular is just hypocritical and dangerous.Freedom ofReligion

  • The CIA never worked with Bin Laden. That is incorrect. The CIA did not put Saddam into place either. Christianity has no military wing. There may be some political components to Christianity, but nowhere near what's going on in Islam. Islam has military elements which run nations like Iran or are contesting for control of nations like Pakistan, Iraq, and Egypt. Clearly, you're desire for peace has led you past appeasement towards delusion.

  • Ugh. The United States was a major supporter of the Muhjihadeen fighting the soviets in Afghanistan. Guess who was a major part of the resistance? OBL! Do you think US support were friendly pats on the back?

We also supported Hussein in his war with Iran. Again, more than just encouraging words.

Yes. Christianity does have militant members. Christianity may not be so bad now, which is argueable, but you cannot deny its past and how it imposed it's will around the world. Islam is just newer.

  • The US supported the antiSoviet resistance in Afghanistan, but there was no contact between the CIA and BinLaden as you claimed. The US supported both Iran and Iraq in the Iran Iraq War as they tried to destroy each other, but the CIA did not install Saddam as President of Iraq. Islam doesn't separate mosque and state. Politics and religion in an Islamic State like Iran are the same. Christianity runs no governments in the world. Most Christian nations are mostly atheistic or agnostic.

  • We should all be so lucky that Ron Paul would be encouraged! That man should be our president!

  • Congressman Franks office tells HR1207 caller to get lost...

    Posted by capo 211 - 04/23/09

"I called Barney Franks office this morning to ask what it takes to get some action on a bill sponsored by 20% of the house. The response from the office was that i should well, shut up and go away. The office does not have the resources to respond.... and other various excuses. The aide seemed more interested in getting me off the phone than actually listening. (There's a shocker...) "
