its true that psycoville is nothing when you look at its big brother "the league of gentlemen" but both hold the title for extreme darkness but in most ways without the darker characters niether would be very good.

Yea Psychoville is developing really well. Capturing a lot of the magic of The Leagure but with (in my opinion) a bit better structure.

It's better structured because TLOG is more sketch-based. TLOG pisses all over it though. Don't get me wrong, Psychoville's good, it's just not as good as The League of Gentlemen

i liked the first and second series. But i think that the third series isnt as good for some reason. I mean its funny and stuff , but i dont think they should have killed off as many characters as they have. Still one of my favorite shows though.

The third series was an incredibly brave departure stylistically from the previous two, the cinematography and camerawork is of an exceptionally high standard, the third series is way more arty and less sketch showy granted but this was needed.

Another point worth mentioning, I was genuinely moved by some scenes in this series, and thats something only something greater than just a sketch show is capable of doing.

I seemed to miss the first couple of episodes from the first series,however I am currently putting that right as it's getting another showing on "Dave" on Wednesday nights.When I first watched this I thought it was "the" darkest thing on TV by a long way,but it is also very very funny.I could talk all day about the characters like the fat bloke in the

Joke Shop or the Ginger Kid with the Night Rider fascination.Although I thought the Film they made was greed inspired though.
