PS: just got an answer: the whole Hamburg concert (where he sang acadie in full length)can be pusrchased at the NDR for private use only!! this is the email where You can contact the ndr archives: a.eisenreich@ndr.de
Love this so much! Too sad, that this one was not on "Acadie", but Dan sang that at the concert in Hamburg and the NDR( radio) transmitted the concert back then. I wonder if they still have that concert in their archive?
@Suktankawin I wasn't aware of that. Love to hear somebody who has a recording...Again, love your cover and the effect of the recording. Please post the video here so others can listen to, thanks!
The transmission by NDR was radio only, not TV, so I don't have any video of it. I hope so much they still havet his concert in their archive and transmit it again- sometimes they do. If I ever find out, I will let You know
seems to me Daniels was never interested as commercial hits per se .... but..... music that perhaps one day will be sang around campfires because they have become pure classic folk...... at least thats my take.
I was beginning to think I had dreamed about this song! I heard it on PBS in 1986 or so (a concert filmed for the network) and haven't heard it since. I emailed the official DL website, got no response. I'm not sure why it wasn't included on the Acadie album. Well, thank you so much and where did you find it? Merci!
Meet The Maker: A profile of Canadian producer/writer/musician Daniel Lanois. The documentary (produced by Scott E. Moore) also includes private rehearsal footage in his home studio and a concert performance in New Orleans. Aired in 1990 by VH1 network.
Nice Nice Video. I really loved your video. Youtube can be a great asset for you. If you need any help getting your video exposed, check out this site called tubeviews [dot net] It has really done wonders for me, I have built 3 Channels up with videos at top in position and this is my forth channel i'm going to working on.

Not cool dude.. Do you know what genocide means? Basically the British Military picked on a bunch of simple farmers and their families. Not cool.
