perhaps the frames are renderer frame by frame, not in-game

that means he could have spent 2 days to record an explosion and then mash up all the frames

Slowed it down by half to suit the music, sped the explosion up a bit after 30 seconds it goes a bit faster.

try rendering the videos you make you can cranks up you setting and you'll lag but you wont see it in the video you'll see the video with 0 lag

he modded it so it wouldnt use much of his CPU you can tell that the explosions are slightly diffrent and, he used a very low graphiced map, try it on the real maps
