ya know a lot of ppl seam to believe the ps3 is capable of matching or exceeding pc gaming, but they are wrong. there is no chance in hell that any game system could ever match a pc, let alone exceed one. just because the ps3 has 8 core cpu don't mean shit. and a lot of ppl think each core runs at 3.2gig...... this is simply not possible. it would over heat and burn up if they were at that speed.

also nanometers do NOT increase the speed of processing lol it just runs cooler and most electronic components run better in cooler environments

Great video! I'm also interested in power consumption and I'd like to see some numbers from a watt-meter measuring the new ps3 at the wall outlet. Do you have any information about that?

it's pretty sweet! I like the bigger one better though but i would get it. also do any of yall have a problem with your ps3 where you put it on standbye and the fan is still blowing, but you have to get real to hear it cus itslows down . I had mine for a year now and it's still goin strong. reply to this if you had this problem

I meant to say below in that comment that the PS3 slim fully sits in standy mode only after turning it off to cut all power from it you now have to unplug it from the wall instead of having the switch on the back like the old ones to do that. That makes me mad about the slim but overall I'd never want a older PS3 again. I love the PS3 Slim you should get one! You'll love it

I got my SLIM yesterday at bestbuy. Other stores release it Sept 1st. I'm lucky I got one yesterday. I agree with you on everything and I'm loving this Slim the new 45 Nanometer chips are FASTER and its super quite cant hardly hear it. The down falls you are NOT suppose to stand them up page 12 in the instructions says DO NOT SET THE SYSTEM OTHER THAN IN THE HORIZONTAL POSITION. That sucks also... contiued in next comment!

Also the other thing that sucks about the slim is now you WILL HAVE TO UNPLUG it from the wall everytime you want it fully off as before you had that switch on the back for that. Now it just sits in standby and fullfully turned off by the ps3. Also the next Positive thing about the slim PS3 is that it has a New feature that the old ps3's dont and wont get to were if you have a Sony bravio hd tv you can use its remote to control the slim now.

XJOJO411X..... THE red light is STAND BY MODE so save the name calling boy. Thats why they have a switch on the back of the older ones so that if you dont want it in stand by mode you hit the switch on the back to FULLY turn all POWER TO THE PS3 off DUMMY. RED LIGHT is STAND BY MODE not fully off you should know this LOL

Its interesting how they have slimed it down and kept the capabilities of it. But I still prefer the older bigger model because it can stand up without a stand. I dont hate it but im not too fond of it either. Cool that they finally dropped the price. But Idk if it will be as good as the older ps3. Either way I love the older model of the PS3.
