Am I the only one who actually appreciates these videos as they are? They're awesome to play along to when you're just beginning to figure out a song.
hmm.. just an advice... please put the chords in the video.. so that people watching this video wont have a hard time >.> i've seen a lot of videos of Guitartutee.. all of them are like this ==
daming reklamo ng iba... "BETTER LITTLE THAN NOTHING" tao nga naman oh.. ang makikita lang eh yung wala.. di manlang magpasalamat na meron... Those of you who are whining constantly about how guitartutee doesn't give the strum pattern & chords, HIS VIDEOS AREN'T FOR YOU! These tutorials are pretty much for long time guitar players (like me), & obviously you whiners are beginners who expect to have automatic talent. He makes these particularly for the more experienced. If you just started guitar very recently & you're trying to learn a song right off the bat & you whine about strumming & chords, you HAVE to learn the basics first!
@ThisGirlIsAMetalhead fagggggggggggggggggggggg, jk, well some of us may not be beginners and dont know the chords er anything like tha er dumbass and it would be nice to try and help others, assshole
This isn't for beginner guitar players, it is for intermediate players, he gives a clear view of the chords he is playing and the strumming pattern he is using. Hope this helps. (:
Haha. Hey guitartutee!! Do something!!!! Your viewers wants the strumming patterns then give them. Yeah they have the point. You should really include the patterns specially for the beginners :D
ok m8 first thing all credit given, you are a brillant guitarist. But seriously i,ve watched nearly all your vids are you obsessed with the same chords all you ever play is g d em a bm and another thing if u actually taught us the strumming we could learn. next to the chords the strumming is the most important thing
so all they'd have to do is put the strumming patterns down in their info box which would take like 5 minutes. the rest is all on their website. whyyyyyy cant they do that!
I use DDUUDU. Its kinda really helpful. figured it out...just like McqueenKid5 said, try making your own pattern and slow down the song. Well, hope I helped :D
it's ok. My guitar teacher told me that if I struggle with something while learning a song, slow down the pace of the song. Try singing along with the song if u have it on ur IPod or something and try making ur own strumming pattern. I just played along with him.
whenever i play this song i use DDUDDU. i cant explain the rhythm but type in "taylor swift stripped fearless performance" and you should get the feel of the song. :)
the strumming pattern for fearless is dd(pause for the smallest second)udd(pause again for the smallest second)u
so basically, the strumming pattern is d,d,u,d,d,u & before you strum up both times, pause for like. a half second. i hope that helps. :) search "taylor swift fearless acoustic" and you'll hear how she pauses.. :)

Okay, I do not understand how you are supposed to learn from your videos and website. playing it for us and then telling us what chord to play during the lyrics is not enough. what about strumming pattern? the percussive way different songs are played? it doesn't make sense, everything about it is so ambiguous.
@leesankwok that is not the point. this is a tutorial, meaning an instructional video. Like I said before, this is not enough to classify this video as a tutorial. Don't take my comment out of context or insult me because I pointed something out. okay thanks.
@aca7792 you are very rude, you should be grateful that he even put a video up. No one is forcing you to watch this video. He tells you the chords! What more do you want. About the strumming pattern, your suppose to figure it out yourself by listening to this. Its takes time to write down strumming patterns.
@ElisabethLovesMusic this is the funny thing. whenever someone has something constructive to say about a video, people lash out and say things like "nobody is forcing you to watch" and "if you dont like it, don't watch". all i am doing is giving my feedback to this person and i'm not rude for doing so. so please relax.
@aca7792 all u have to do is listen to what cords hes playin, listen to the strum pattern & strum until u get it rite which takes bout a minute or less. Its simple. If u hav been playin guitar for 2 years plus it comes EASY. But if u have just started learnin u hav to start out small by learnin names of strings, then notes on the strings, then types of scales on ur guitar, then cords, then songs. u cant just pick up a guitar & expect to learn songs right away. u hav to LEARN before u PLAY.
@ThisGirlIsAMetalhead i've picked up a guitar learned songs, not right away but in a couple days..... that's how i learned and how my dad learned. not that i'm saying you're wrong, but just saying it happens. (:
@hockeygurrl yea, i know. it IS possible, but im just saying this for some of those people who are having trouble with what they're playing. if they realize they're having trouble, then first they should just start small. but those of the people who have guitar playing just come naturally, that's a different story. especially for people who have been hearing relatives play almost every day of their lives since they were born.
This is not a tutorial on how to play the guitar. If you have been playing the guitar for quite some time, you'll be able to play this song first time you watched this vid.
@bhelaigelyne yeah, exactly. and some people are saying stuff like, "it doesn't work cuz he just plays and how am i supposed to figure out how to play it if all i see is the guitar and no tutorial on strum patterns and/or chords?" or something like that. and truthfully, guitar playing is a LOT easier said than done. some people who wanna learn who REALLY dont have patience for it pick it up and think, "im gonna learn this song" and they get mad when the cant do it straight away.
@aca7792 uhm.. see the link in the description box? that's there web site.. and you can find the chords and tabs there.. well this video helps you on how the song should be played.. well.. its pretty beginner chords, and if your just beginning to play a guitar you will totally not understand whats he's giving to you..
@aca7792 the website is helpful, and the lyrics!!!!!!!!!and the chords!!!!i dont know about you,but if guitartutee is created by people from the philippines i would truly support them and tell them how talented they are!!!!!!

yah cuz u need to kno whether to play up or down on the strings its alot easier to explain a strumming pattern for a certain song on a chart thingy.. down, up, down is usually not the way u read a strumming pattern. i hope that helped :)
