Georgie Fame used to perform at Tottenham Court Royal in the early 60's. There was a revolving band stand and on the other side was the Jeff Rowena Seven who were the favorites at the time. Not mine I always preferred Georgie.

Yes, all the versions of this song are beautiful to listen to, especially the soulful Classics IV take, but, Georgie Fame sings it the best. I wish I was a teen during this era instead of just being born during it.

This was some fun listening - thanks for uploading. Especially liked the modulation 'round 1:16. Up a half-step, or a whole-step - coulda seen it coming. Up a third (and a major one at that) - caught me off guard! And he sings it flawlessly.

My favorite version of this song also. I'm big Classic IV fan but this beats their version hands down. I also like it better than Bobby Herb's recording. But they may be the fact I was in boot-camp when it hit the charts.
