The singer has a nice voice, but it is definitely not Rivers cute voice.

Did you guys listen to the lyrics?  They were written by River Do you think he was writing about his own sadness? His own blue period?

i think that was his voice

it sounds the way he did in his live performances

its sad that a lot of people have mostly forgotten his talent and just think of him as some druggy

inspired47, i rec'd an email from josh greenbaum (former bandmate) telling me that the song was written and performed by josh mckay. it's not river's voice.

i hate to tell ppl how he died, because that is usually the first question asked. and you know how 'first impressions' work... well then, ppl tend to concentrate on how he died instead of how he lived and what a positive impact he was to this world.

i sometimes get myself worked up about what he could have done, but then it hits me i should celebrate what he already gave us, so even though he may have only been one person to the world, he is the world to so many of us

i must admit i have a problem recognizing this as River's voice, same as in Goldmine...though i think this is more likely to be him that the one singin Goldmine...who knows?anyway i'm sure at 'least' he's doing the back vocals or sht..and they're both beautiful songs, almost as beautiful as he was...

i dont know to be honest. Josh McKay sang lead vocals on some songs while River stuck to guitar, so it could very possibley be him? regardless, its a great song :)
