I totally enjoyed your rendition of a tune familiar to me since I play jazz banjo. Also I would love to learn what area of Mother Earth is home to Julia Riley for a couple of reasons. One, she has the only other pink music stand I've seen in use. I entertain using one also. On top of that, based on the video I can see some physical resemblance between us. Do I have a psychic twin? I think Julia's music stand is red rather than pink. She lives in Auburn, California, but I don't know where she's from originally. Her YouTube account name is juliar65.

I just saw Chanticleer perform this song live in concert, and it was the most embarrassing spectacle I've ever seen onstage ... completely campy and ridiculous, and my opinion of the group went down the drain.

Well of course, Taft was president when this song was published... As for the band's existence currently... all I can say is, well, this is California; we're not like the rest of the U.S.!

If ANYONE could find for me a copy of this song actually SUNG BY the group Chanticleer, and post it, I would adore you forever (or until next week).

We used to listen to it and sing along, but for some reason the song has gone AWOL. We can't find our old CD and the online world seems loath to admit that the sung version exists. I thank you for pointing out that this song does have lyrics, and I hope someone manages to post the sung version soon.
