  • you pray that you become strong enough to continue the demon...

  • I need Scissors. 61!

  • @andge1001

Not sure if thats a silly comment or not XD.

Anyway. The warrior plunges Diablo's soulstone into his forehead because as he traveled down from the Cathedral and the caves and to Hell, DIablo whisperd to him that he must do it, and the warrior thought these were his own ideas. And when he defeats DIablo, his soul is corrupted, and his mind half-broken(If not fully) and you know the rest

  • Eeh, so why was it that the hero had to plunge the soul stone into his forehead? Couldn't he just have kept it in his bag? :)

  • JESUS CHRIST! ITS COLONEL! FROM METAL GEAR SOLID! SNAAAAAAAAAAKE!

  • Hahaha! Zasalamel from Soul Calibur is the one narrating. I guess it was kind of his fault, since he kept on telling the wonderer that Diablo's gonna getcha and you must go east cause it might save your ass... ^_^

  • I half expected the narrator to say, "you must construct additional pylons"

  • @fluffynoses or maybe "En Taro Adun".

  • @Tainted369

Diablo corrupted his mind, that's why he placed it in his head.

  • @Tainted369 The hero smashed it into his head because he thought he would be able to contain diablo. He was wrong.

  • uncle max from ben 10

    :)

  • the voice it sounds like coronel campbell from mgs...

  • @elmeropatasdecabra If I'm not mistaken, it's Paul Eiding(sp). A.K.A Grandpa Max (from Ben 10) and Colonel Campbell (from MGS1-4). That old man is in everything. Just like Steve Blum, Nolan North, Quinton Flynn, and Phil LaMarr.

  • @JakReaver lol i was going to say.... isnt that the grandpa from ben 10? xD

  • @vghardcore rather bad, cause I suppose Activision is meddling in Blizzard's creative decisions.

  • And so it came to pass that the countess who once bathed in the blood of a thousand virgins...O.o wait.

  • This was before I remember the one and only Paul Eiding as the colonel. Great ending!

  • Now in Diablo 3...Suddenly, RAINBOWS! Thousands of them!

  • @cheater30 "Now in Diablo 3...Suddenly, RAINBOWS! Thousands of them!"

I think the more poignant issue is that after trashing the actual Diablo 3 game, made by the real Diablo team whom they ditched, they re-made it into something entirely different. Nothing we see of the new Diablo 3 resembles or looks like what the original. true Diablo team had in mind for Diablo 3 at all.

  • @Starry2000 ...and gay cows.

  • @bole316 i agree on longer everything else is just opinion.i love both games equally because they're both excellent.i'm pretty sure the only reason u like d2 more is because u probably played it first

  • Diablo 3 retconned this dude into being King Leoric's son -_-

  • @MrWaeseL REALLY?! Man, that sucks...

  • @Glowerer Diablo 3 is also going to be their last Diablo game. If you ask me, they don't give a shit because Diablo was never really their game in the first place - they just funded it. They bought the company that actually conceived Diablo in the first place, and helped THEM make it. Now that they disbanded that company, which worked under Blizzard North, they just don't give a hoopty god damn what becomes of the title.

Thinking about it, I'm going to guess the new IP will rip Diablo off.

  • Or perhaps you'll end up freeing Baal and Mephisto and then reemerging as Diablo.

  • damn, it must've sucked to be a hero in the world of diablo. after all youve been through, corruption of the soul is what you'll get. :(

  • @lesztat18

That's what it means being a hero, doing the ultimate sacrifice!

  • @sartanko in the world of sanctuary, you do bad things and you go to hell. you do the best thing for humanity and nothing happens. the high heavens sucked. lol

  • @lesztat18

Well I wouldn't say nothing happened!

1 The Dark Wanderer went all corrupt 'n shiiiit!

2 Most of the Diablo 2 heroes went crazy or died!

  • 10 people didn't walk towards the east.

  • the Butcher was the hardest boss

  • Thumbs up if Diablo made Blizzard THE GREATEST OF THEM ALL - the mid 90's - PC gaming not very famous - and then DIABLO came out - and made Blizzard a Big Name what they are today.

  • Blizzard should make a remake of the game with no changes, just to enjoy the game in better details and resolution....Thumb up if you think like me...

  • @244jovan good idea for sure

  • @244jovan: I agree, but I think they SHOULD make atleast one change: add some more spells to Diablo in the remake, if Blizzard would choose to make a remake that is, other than the Apocalypse spell XD. So annyoing and boring when he just spamed one simple spell. Otherwise, everything else is fine, and oh I almost forgot: remove the gold duplicate bug XD. Too easy to not kill monsters for gold to make gold. Also it's boring. Otherwise than that, Diablo 1 is good as it is.

  • @244jovan: Only thing that would make Diablo 1 better than what it already is, would be remove the gold duplicate/duplicate bug and add SOME more spells to Diablo to make him a tougher and more powerful boss.

  • @244jovan

Damn right, that would be most awesome game imo!

  • @244jovan That wiould be awesome indeed. But now with Activision-Blizzard in charge of the Diablo games the chances for that are, well, limited.

  • @244jovan

I give you 2 thumbs up

  • Blizzards seems to be the only developer with the balls to depress you after beating a game!!

  • Entaru Adun Tassadar

  • This is the voice of Aldaris from the protoss from starcraft !!!

  • 10 people will not find answers or salvation

  • hmm preffer D2's ending ^^ (the LoD not normal play)

  • He sounds like Judicator Aldaris from Starcraft 1.

  • This Narrator Voice has a such a impact on my life

  • this what should diablo 3 feels like.. feels so satanic

  • Comment removed

  • Greetings, young prince. You must take your people to the west, to the forgotten lands of Kalimdor...

  • We traveled east, always to the east.

  • who is that

  • yah what does this have to do with diablo 3? this was epic. they'll ruin it u.u

  • What's the 2-player ending like for the PS1 port?

  • Is this the same voice from the colonel on the MGS series!?!? O.O

  • @NikaziO14 i thought it sounded familiar, and yes it the same voice.

  • This still gives me the creeps >:)

  • Judicator Aldaris!

  • Salvation ... Yeah.

  • hahaha!!! thats pitiful voice!!! hahahaha...

  • complete and full game of SC II /Lnkgt. C0M/4Ep

  • Paul Ending.

  • Snake?...Snake?! Snaaaaake!

  • yes he found what he was seekin in aranoc dessert :D

  • is that colonel campbell?

  • Snake: What the hell are you smoking, Colonel?

  • Diablo 3 cant beat that ending I am sure of that. Even if they sell there souls mu ha ha.

  • if god wanted to speak, he would use paul eiding's voice to reach us.

  • @kespec loool hahaha

  • finally beat the game, pkayed in 1997/98 but never really finished it... but today finally did awsome!!

  • Diablo 1 was the coolest in all and it will stay so, those old schoo lgraphics, gothic style and abit occultic made the game a one hell of a masterpiece \m/

  • I have that game, and beat it pretty good!

  • Snake? Snake?! SNAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAKE!!!

  • I'm waiting for a need for scissors. 61!

  • The essence of Diablo is contained for now.

You pray that you have become strong enough to contain the Demon and keep him at bay. Although you have been fortified by your quest, you can still feel him, clawing his way up from the dark recesses of your soul.

Fighting to retain control, your thoughts turn toward the ancient, mystic lands of the Far East. Perhaps there, beyond the desolate wastes of Aranoch, you will find an answer.

    Or, perhaps... salvation!"

  • @CxC2007 wow your SO awesome, quoting the exact same thing we just heard..HUR HUR HUR

  • @SilkyMuggs This help people that dont speak English as Mother lenguaje.

Sometimes is difficult to understand what the narator says, so if you habe all written, is easyer to get it, and you enyoi it more. Also, this speach in Spanish is not as good as in English.

  • "The Soulstone burns with Hellfire as an eerie red glow blurs your vision. Fresh blood flows into your eyes, and you begin to hear the tormented whispers of the Damned. You have done what you knew must be done.

  • the voice is familiar somehow...

  • it sound like Paul Eiding reading a book

  • he's voice is more fit to diablo game rather than metal gear..

  • That voice is pure gold!

  • Colonel, get the hell out of my Diablo.

  • You have not enough minerals

  • Lol... did anyone else notice that the narroator sounds like the Conial in the snake seris :3

  • Snake: "Colonel?..."

  • or perhaps, salvation...?

Or perhaps, a gruesome body horror death?

Diablo 2 sure screwed over everyone from Diablo 1 :(

    The rogue => Blood Raven

The sorcerer => the crazed summoner

    The warrior => Diablo

    Tristram => slaughtered

  • @Uberskull the crazed summoner? which one? cant remember that

  • @StormProductionzZ act 2 arcane sanctuary boss

  • @Uberskull

While Deckard Cain is the only surviving character from Diablo 1.

  • You have done what you knew must be done ........the essence of Diablo its contained...for now.

  • Then you turn evil and screw everything up and the one thing that protects Earth from Hell gets blown up. Good job, Hero.

  • Leave it to Aldaris to make everything sound epic and dire.

  • and then..... TIME PARADOX!

  • How's it a time paradox?

  • @Kitsune44X its a metal gear solid reference....

  • AH, now I get it. I remember that bit now. Just wasn't thinking Metal Gear while watching a Diablo video (even if the narrator's voice actor has a part in the MGS series). ;D

  • It is your role. This is a kind of Role-Playing game, after all.

  • The narrator is the same guy as Roy Campbell from MGS :D

  • the first diablo will always be the best when it comes to gothic feel.

  • @krungski agreed, but 2 was great, and LOD was too

let us hope blizzard dont let us down with D3

  • @krungski The first was okay. But you can't run and it makes the game seem longer when it actually isn't. It's just boring as hell.

  • @krungski yes, I totally agree. In Daiblo 1 u really could feel the darkness. U were afraid of going down into the catacombs and further... Now I have the impression that It is more and more becoming a carnage-game with lots of purple, pink and yellow colours spreading everywhere when u just touch a monster xD

But I love the Diablos, anyway. I just wished thered be more darkness and gloom again ;)

  • i cant believe you have this many views i have beat this game so many times that its an annoying cut-scene though the voice is kick ass

  • It's funny, he did such an amazing job of changing the voice for the warrior i didn't even know he was the voice of the warrior for the longest time.

  • Paul Eiding has one excellent voice. When he says go rescue the DARPA chief or defeat Diablo you do as he says!

  • LMAO

  • "Clearly, Liquid has failed us. You must not."

  • @Treblaine darpa cheif? isnt that from mgs2

  • @mantis1jim no mgs1 and Paul Eiding is the Colonel

  • @Laxaplaya ah

  • @Treblaine lol metal gear<3

  • @Treblaine not to mention tell Ben what to do

  • @Treblaine rogue..? rogue....ROGUE !!!!!

  • @dxdog000 :D

  • @Treblaine Darpa chief... I recognize that, but can't remember what game >.<

  • @TommyDaGreat I'll give you a clue:

    "Snake? Snake! SNAAAAAKKKKE!!"

  • @Treblaine Ah, now I remember. Lol. Thx.

  • @Treblaine He was also the protoss judicator from Starcraft right?

  • Man, Paul Eiding is like the go-to-guy for Blizzard voice acting :D I think he's also in sacrifice as Eldred

  • That's what I thought!!!! :D

  • If dark wanderer is warrior, ehat stones does summoner and blood rave have?

  • Comment removed

  • However, as a guarantee to end the Prime Evil's Plans, Tyrael destroys the Worldstone with Azurewrath. By doing this, he would eliminate all of the Soulstones (or the remaining ones') power. The only way Diablo III is even able to start is if the Hero in Diablo II gets corrupted and pulls a Dark Wanderer like what happened in Diablo I before Tyrael destroys the Worldstone.

Either that, or there is obviously more than those soulstones, or perhaps there were copies made, or back-ups of this plan.

  • Well, I've heard that Blizz will release a patch 1.13 for D2 and the rumors say it is a content patch. Maybe they managed to think a plot in this 10 years for a viable return :D

Anyways, there can't be good without evil, so I can imagine that without stones to contain the prime evil essences it was just a matter of time before Diablo emerges from the dark again... free and without a soulstone to imprison him.

    Evil cannot be destroyed. :/

  • They haven't yet; I have the game and I checked. There's nothing up as of now, at least last I checked, and it's been like that for a couple years. Honestly, D2 is done.

I don't think it wasn't mentioned that the Soul Stones kept the souls of the Prime Evils. It was merely stated that it was the "source of their power" by Izual, and that the renegade Archangel used the knowledge of the Soul Stones against the powers of Heaven. It was NOT mentioned, however, that Baal's Soulstone was destroyed.

  • when i was younger i thought this figure was the narrator haha i was like " is this what that guy looks like? cool!" o wow i must have been pretty stupid

  • Yeah... And now prepare to fight yourself as Diablo in Diablo 2...

  • EPIC GREATNESS!!!

  • why dosent your charichter in d1

go and destroy the soul stone at hell forge?

  • Diablo 2 would've been a hell of a lot better if they actually followed this ending instead of the "omfg Diablo comes back like 3 days later, tricked you all!"

Now with Diablo 3 they're all like "fooled you again, Diablo comes back even thought we specifically said he was gone forever!"

  • They thought diablo is gone forever =)

  • They did follow this ending.

  • Precisely. Unable to ACTUALLY kill Diablo by himself, the Warrior sought to contain Diablo within himself, if only temporarilly, since his soulstone had failed to contain him entirely. Thus did the hero of Diablo I, to his own pain and discomfort, attempt to save all of mankind. Sadly, as we see in Diablo II, he was successful only in giving the hero of Diablo II enough time to arrive and seek him (and Diablo, in turn) out.

  • No one ever said Diablo was gone for good.

  • Did you play Diablo 2? It follows this ending EXACTLY. Not sure about Diablo 3 though.

  • With the cliffhanger we got after the worldstone was destroyed, anything could happen.

And they did follow this storyline, the wanderer headed east, attempting to contain the demon raging within him along the way. Eventually he learned that he was being possessed to go east, but by then it was too late.

  • that voice sounds lik the voice of bens grandfather from ben 10 :/

  • lol it does

  • It's the same voice actor.

He's also the voice of Roy Cambell in Metal Gear Solid.

  • because it is :)

  • Eldred from Sacrifice .. Paul Eiding 4ever! :(

  • thanks for uploading 5 star

  • the story isnt that realistic, why didn't anyone aid you inside hell, isn't there a national army who could help you. and could anyone explain me why he suddenly wants to go to the far east

  • realistic and game will never go together cuz there will always be some little thing someone with bitch about and he is goin east to set free his brothers had you played diablo 2 you would have known this

  • A national army? Are you serious?

First off, Lazarus corrupted King Leoric. Leoric sent his armies to conquer the neighboring Kingdoms, declaring himself ruler. Tristram would have no support from neighbors. On top of this, when the captain of Leoric's army betrayed Leoric and killed him, Leoric cursed him and all of his men. The warriors you fight in Hell are the same warriors you are expecting to HELP in hell. There was literally no one to save Tristram

  • No, beacuse like Tyrael said, he and the angels were forbidden to aide directly, save for a few bits of wisdom.

  • Tyrael was never known for being someone who followed the rules of Heaven too closely.

  • Because of the whole soulstone thing, Izual's fault ;x

  • Perhaps. Who is to say that he isn't following orders, as he is not "throwing off the balance" by advising mankind how to defend themselves against the forces of Hell? Would seem appropriate, particularly given Diablo and the others' throwing off the agreed upon balance themselves by way of possession and other means of controlling or influencing mankind. Tyrael's "intervention" would give Heaven an equal foothold, at the least, with Hell.

  • to rescue his brothers

  • Wow this sounds like the guy in Diablo 2 reading the book about the evil countess. I didn't realize he was in the first one too!

  • There are many books in Diablo 1 that have the same voice. I love the voice.

  • Paul Eiding rocks!

  • WHAT COLONEL FROM MGS OMFG

  • I was the asshole going for your ears every game, camping at the town portal.

  • crap...I mean it's ALDARIS :D hi Aldaris

  • hey it's Artanis :D hi Artanis! :D

  • Grandpa Max from Ben 10 has time to narrate Diablo. O.O LOL

  • holy @!?* xD its really him

  • ooh.... you're right!

that's why the voice is soo familiar lolol

  • Colonel!! Looks like he found someone else to bother in his codec. ^_^

  • his voice reminds me of a certain char. from starcraft...Oh well, the description says it all :D

  • lol Roy caMbel!!

  • is that the guy from diablo 2 in the intro.

and he wash travling EAST after he destroyed the monestry

  • yes

  • yes
